While We Still Can

Tina Langland and Lisa Rollison

Do you call the Show-Me state home? Are you sick of burying your head in the sand about national and local political issues? Are you too overwhelmed to even think about consuming news due to the sheer quantity? We realized through conversations with people in all different settings, most have NO IDEA what's going on in our local government. We decided to do this podcast to cover the shenanigans that we think is especially important for our friends and family to know. We do say a few cuss words so we wouldn't recommend listening while your kids are in the car!

First up: Project 2025. We break down how deregulation blueprints and gutting federal meat inspection standards were supposed to "cut red tape," but somehow just ended up cutting corners. Between policy shifts slashing inspector oversight and tariffs driving domestic beef prices into the stratosphere, the market has responded the only way it knows how: with absolute, unhinged chaos. We talk about building the ultimate anti-dystopian meat syndicate: local community connections. We’ll discuss how linking up directly with local farmers, pooling money with your neighbors to buy half a cow, and establishing community food networks isn't just a crunchy hipster trend anymore—it's a survival strategy. If you want meat that didn't require a passport, a lawsuit, or a dose of banned pharmaceuticals, your local farmer down the road is your new best friend

Justice in the Manosphere or PSY-OP? w/ Tony Andrews

@anthon7yandrews Tiktok- tonystiktok https://anthony7andrews.substack.com/ Welcome to another episode where we ask the simple question: Why is everything so deeply, weirdly connected? We start in the shallow end of the gene pool with the Tate brothers, using their legal circus to talk about international crime fighting—and how surprisingly hard it is to lock up internet gurus preaching toxic masculinity to teenage boys from a villa in Romania. From there, we jump straight into the swamp of political protection, media smokescreens, and how convenient it is when a celebrity scandal drops right as a major corruption story gets buried. Closetocracy, Stolen Election "Proof", and Low T Pete w/ Tony Andrews

@anthon7yandrews Tiktok- tonystiktok https://anthony7andrews.substack.com/ From the lingering fallout of the 2020 election narrative to the high-stakes legal maneuvering shaping our future, modern politics feels more complex—and less transparent—than ever. In this episode, we pull back the curtain on the hidden agendas and legal tools, like NDAs, that keep the public in the dark. We break down the influential roles of key figures like Mitch McConnell and Todd Blanche, examine Markwayne Mullin’s recent actions, and look at how real estate connections often unveil deeper systemic issues. But it’s not just about the headlines. We dive into pressing global and societal crises, including the lack of transparency in detention centers, the staggering reality of the billion-dollar human trafficking industry, and the growing influence of social media on information control. We also explore the concept of "closetocracy"—the hidden networks driving political agendas—and contrast these dark realities with the deeply personal journey of choosing to live authentically. As we look toward upcoming elections, election integrity and food safety regulations are emerging as massive talking points that will directly impact consumers. How do we fight back against political complicity? It starts with breaking through the apathy of younger generations. Tune in as we map out a crucial plan to restore accountability, boost public awareness, and spark the civic engagement essential to saving democracy. politics, Trump, election, Todd Blanch, youth engagement, election integrity, Mark Wayne Mullen, food safety, Mitch McConnell NDAs, political intrigue, closetocracy, personal journeys, detention centers, global conspiracy, real estate connections, human trafficking, accountability, Russian connections, nuclear deals, social media control

Class Consciousness is the Key w/ SCOTT BENNETT AND FRIENDS

TikTok- @letsmakethempay Substack- @letsmakethempay Welcome to the episode where we dismantle the grand illusion of modern democracy, a system expertly engineered to ensure that your wealth and class dictate your rights while your vote mostly dictates which multi-millionaire gets to ignore you next. This week, we’re burning down the house (metaphorically, for legal reasons) to look at systemic reform proposals, from throwing out our archaic constitution to resurrecting ancient Athenian sortition—because choosing leaders by a literal lottery system couldn't possibly yield worse results than our current reality. Along the way, we'll arm you with tools for democratic resistance, including the beautifully chaotic art of jury nullification, the rise of citizen journalism on corporate-owned social media, and why a good old-fashioned general strike might just be the ultimate community-building exercise. If you've ever suspected that capitalism is just feudalism with better branding and that our education system is designed to kill critical thinking rather than foster an informed citizenry, tune in; it’s time to learn how to spot the propaganda, demand public ownership of resources, and laugh through the existential dread of ongoing voting rights struggles before the algorithms completely swallow our brains.

Why Self-Defense is a Radical Act (And Always Has Been) w/ Aaron Chase!

TT- @aaronchase91 IG- aaronchase91 This look at community self-defense explores how these classes actually started—not just as fitness trends, but as grassroots responses to a system that often fails to protect marginalized people. It connects personal healing with social change, showing how martial arts can build mental resilience, discipline, and a sense of safety. However, building these communities isn't always easy. The narrative digs into the challenges of navigating both online hype and real-world training spaces, while tackling a tougher reality: how martial arts are often co-opted by political and nationalist agendas. Ultimately, it’s about how we can reclaim these spaces to build genuine empathy and solidarity across different backgrounds.
