Welsh newlyweds Ben and Catherine Mullany jet off for their two week honeymoon on the idyllic Caribbean island of Antigua. Their vacation is perfect, but on the final night they are both murdered in cold blood. The case of the newly married couple caused a diplomatic rift between the UK and Antigua, who were concerned that an unsolved case could pose a threat to the island's "very survival", as tourism is its backbone.

On June 3, she is found dead in her room. The ensuing investigation reveals that her entire life - including the name she provided - was a carefully constructed lie. More than 30 years later, the identity of Jennifer Fairgate, and what happened to her, remain a mystery.

On a damp winter day, Dutch man Maarten Dickhoff, 44, makes the almost three hour drive from his home in the Netherlands for a brief break on Belgium’s coast. Over the next 24 hours, he would make numerous trips back and forth across the same border, before finally leaving his car at a market town on the Belgian side and disappearing. Maarten has not been seen again and his tight-knit family have spent the last two and a half years searching for him.

The holiday had been marked by melancholy on Silja’s behalf, something that was also an issue at home. After increasingly paranoid behaviour, Silja stormed off and didn’t return to the campsite. Her body was found the following day, 2km from the site and partially hidden in the sand dunes that separate the Atlantic Ocean from the region’s lake. Silja had been murdered. Over 25 years on, the murder of Silja Trindler remains unsolved.
