Most people think ranking popular books is straightforward… but when you compare the hype, your actual feelings, and the series complexity, things get tricky fast. We break down their honest reviews of viral favorites like Throne of Glass, Crescent City, and more, revealing which series truly live up to the hype, which ones fall flat, and why some "overhyped" books deserve a second chance.
In this episode, you'll discover the secret to ranking books that have millions of fans, and why your own preferences might differ wildly from online hype. We break down the difference between “Elite,” “Solid,” “Conditional,” and “Overhyped,” giving you a behind-the-scenes look at how subjective book rankings really are.
You'll get concrete insights on the importance of series complexity, the impact of initial impressions (like how From Blood and Ash or Serpent & Wings of Night landed on their tiers) and why some books might need a second read to truly understand their worth. Want to avoid wasting time on books that don’t match your taste? We reveal our personal ratings, define what makes a “God Tier,” and highlight which viral titles are worth your time… and which aren’t.
