Joining him is Tim McQuay, the first rider in NRHA history to surpass $3 million in earnings and a true trailblazer of the sport. Tim has won every major NRHA event, qualified for the Futurity Finals nearly every year since 1978, and earned money on more than 200 horses. From world-level competition to building McQuay Stables, his influence reaches far beyond the show pen.     Training & Showing Million Dollar Horses–Casey Deary (EP 115)

    After an absolutely remarkable year, Casey Deary was the perfect choice for this episode. In 2025, he captured the NRHA Open Derby Championship, won The American Performance Horseman Individual Reining, piloted Down Right Amazing to $1 Million in lifetime earnings, and topped it all off by winning the NRHA Open Futurity aboard Belissimo. Casey himself earned over $1 Million in 2025, pushing his lifetime earnings past $6 Million—making this one of the most impressive seasons of his career. Naturally, we had plenty of questions for the Futurity Champion—starting with how he went from his first trying run on Belissimo in Tulsa to winning the biggest event of the year. We also got answers to some of the really important ones, like: Does the $6 Million Rider pack his own clothes for a horse show? And why is he always showing in blue shirts? Along the way, the group shares training insights, stories about rodeo clown–golf outfits, loose teeth, weight loss, and plenty of laughs that only come from years of experience in the industry.
