Attorney Disbarred for Defending Parents | Connie Reguli
Send us Fan Mail Connie Reguli spent nearly 30 years in Tennessee courtrooms, first prosecuting child-abuse cases, then defending parents against the Department of Children’s Services. She is the founder of the Family Forward Project and the lawyer behind Andrews v. Hickman County, the Sixth Circuit case that said the Fourth Amendment applies to social workers. In July 2026 the Tennessee Supreme Court permanently disbarred her. The court cited a social-media campaign against a juvenile judge and her role in an Amber Alert case, in which she took a client and the client’s child into her home. A jury convicted her in 2022. In 2024 the Court of Criminal Appeals vacated those convictions and dismissed the case, because the custodial-interference statute at the time did not cover the conduct. Death Penalty: Christa Pike Survives Execution:

Tennessee scheduled her to be the first woman executed in the state in more than 200 years. She has been on death row since 1996 for the 1995 torture-murder of 19-year-old Colleen Slemmer in Knoxville. Court fights delayed the execution for hours. Witnesses say she never lost consciousness. After the second dose, she moved her toes, lifted her head, and was snoring. The state sent her to the hospital. By October 6 she was awake and talking. Omani Co-Pilot Tries to Down an Israel Flight. 174 People Live.

Two hours in, the Omani first officer attacked Captain Smit Machchhar in the cockpit and the Boeing 737 dropped roughly 14,000 to 17,000 feet in under two minutes. A hijack signal went out. Israeli fighters scrambled. The wounded captain still got the cockpit door open. Lindsay Clancy’s lawyer flipped the script in court today.
Send us Fan Mail Lindsay Clancy was back in court today for the first time since her murder trial ended in a hung jury. Her lawyer Kevin Reddington spent the summer trial not disputing that she killed her three children. He argued she was not criminally responsible because of postpartum psychosis. Today he changed the argument. Reddington asked the judge for a directed verdict of not guilty and said there is a “complete lack of evidence” that she killed them. Quote: “This entire case is based on speculation.” “Where is the evidence that she did this?” He also said she “had no memory” of what happened. The prosecutor called it “laughable.” Judge William Sullivan took the motion under advisement. No ruling. Next hearing is November 2. The DA still has not said whether he will retry the case. By dawn, 85 homes are emptied and bomb robots are crawling over vehicles two miles from RAF Fairford — the base where U.S. B-1 bombers fly missions against Iran. Sunday’s arrests were for explosives offences and preparing a terrorist act. The suspects are UK nationals, 23 to 25, all from London. Counter-terror police say the investigation is not over and they are “keeping an open mind” about proxies working for a foreign state. Iran’s embassy denies it. President Trump’s verdict: he would not have released them. That is not a one-off. It is the posture of a country that still will not ban the IRGC, still will not proscribe the Muslim Brotherhood, and still treats the English Channel like a suggestion. The numbers: about 19,135 small-boat arrivals so far in 2026 — down from last year’s flood, still a highway. Seven hundred eighty-one in a single day last week. Two boats hit Kent beaches without being intercepted. This morning a dinghy with 105 people went down off France. A 10-year-old child and two women are dead. And in the same cities those suspects came from, 30 to 85 unregulated Sharia councils operate as a parallel family system. They have no formal legal force. They have plenty of practical force — especially over women in nikah-only marriages the British state never made them register. One law for all is either the rule or it is a slogan. Michael Desronvil: The Holdout Juror Who Forced the Lindsay Clancy Mistrial
Send us Fan Mail Eleven jurors in the Lindsay Clancy trial were ready to find her not guilty by reason of insanity in the deaths of her three children. One man was not. His name is Michael Desronvil. Other jurors went on TV and called him arrogant. They said he admitted reasonable doubt and still refused the verdict. Desronvil has now spoken and says that is false — that he believed she was criminally responsible from day one. The judge then sealed the official juror list indefinitely after threats, filming outside court, and personal details dumped online. A fundraiser followed. His family says the attention wrecked their lives.
