Your new best friend Isn't Human | The Rick H. Show | Ep. 244

Send us a Message! In Episode 244 of The Rick H. Show, Rick dives into one of the strangest and most fascinating conversations of our time: Are we becoming emotionally attached to artificial intelligence? From people using AI as their personal therapist to developing friendships—and even romantic relationships—with chatbots, Rick explores how technology is changing the way we connect with one another. But the conversation goes deeper. Why are some people more comfortable opening up to AI than their closest friends? Have human relationships become so complicated that talking to a computer feels easier? And what happens when artificial intelligence becomes the first place we turn for emotional support, relationship advice, and companionship? Rick also shares his perspective on AI in everyday life, the hilarious possibilities of having a digital best friend, and the uncomfortable questions we may eventually have to answer. Would you consider it cheating if your partner developed feelings for an AI companion? Could an AI ever replace a real friendship? And are we slowly losing the ability to connect with real people? It's funny, thought-provoking, slightly uncomfortable, and guaranteed to make you question just how much technology has become part of your life. Because the future isn't coming. Support the show

Send us a Message! What happens when years of hard work, sacrifice, disappointment, and refusing to give up finally start getting recognized? In Episode 243 of *The Rick H. Show*, Rick Hierro reflects on one of the most exciting chapters of his podcasting journey. With **9 Latin Podcast Award nominations for The Rick H. I Got What I Wanted… So Why Do I Still Want More? | The Rick H. Show | Ep. 242

Send us a Message! There was a time when some of the things I have today were only dreams. A career. A family. Fatherhood. Creative opportunities. A podcast. Accomplishments he once wondered if he'd ever achieve. So why is it that once we finally get the things we worked so hard for, they eventually start feeling… normal? In Episode 242 of The Rick H. Show, Rick has an honest conversation about ambition, gratitude, and our tendency to constantly move the finish line. He reflects on the goals he once believed would make him feel like he had finally “made it,” only to discover that reaching one goal often creates another. But does wanting more mean you're ungrateful for what you already have? Rick explores the complicated space between being proud of how far you've come and still believing there's another level ahead. He also looks at the people, experiences, and everyday moments we can easily take for granted simply because they've become part of our normal lives. Maybe the goal isn't to stop dreaming. Maybe it's learning how to chase what's next without overlooking what's now. This episode asks one question we could probably all spend more time thinking about: What's completely normal in your life today that you once dreamed about having? 🎙️ The Rick H. Whatever Happened to Having Fun? | The Rick H. Show | Ep. 241

Send us a Message! When did everything we enjoy have to become productive? In this episode of **The Rick H. Show**, Rick Hierro takes a break from the heavy conversations and asks a surprisingly simple question: **Whatever happened to just having fun?** As adults, we're constantly working toward something. Careers. Money. Family responsibilities. Goals. Side hustles. Followers. Success. Even our hobbies somehow become things we're supposed to monetize, improve at, document, or turn into content. But when was the last time you did something for absolutely no reason other than... **you enjoyed it?** Rick reflects on the things that made life fun when he was younger, how ambition and responsibility can slowly make adulthood feel way too serious, and how becoming a father has reminded him that sometimes the best moments in life don't require an itinerary, an accomplishment, or even a purpose. It's a conversation about hobbies, guilty pleasures, laughing with friends, doing absolutely nothing, embarrassing yourself, being terrible at something new—and learning how to play again without worrying about whether it's productive. Because maybe burnout isn't always about doing too much. Maybe sometimes we're just doing **too little of what makes us feel alive.** So here's the challenge: Do something this week that won't improve your résumé, grow your bank account, build your brand, increase your followers, or advance your career. Do it simply because **it's fun.** And maybe... **don't post it.** 🎙️ **The Rick H. Show — “Whatever Happened to Having Fun?”** *A podcast based on true stories.* Support the show

LET ME SAY THIS NOW (No Trophy Required) | The Rick H. Show | Ep. 240

Send us a Message! Why wait until you’re standing on a stage holding a trophy to thank the people who helped you get there? In this deeply personal episode of **The Rick H. Show**, Rick Hierro gives the acceptance speech he doesn’t want to wait to give. Rick takes a moment to give flowers to the **family, friends, supporters, collaborators, and people who have believed in him throughout his journey**—not after the next accomplishment, not when the cameras are rolling, and definitely not when it’s too late. This episode isn’t about an award. It’s about **gratitude**. It’s about recognizing the people who showed up before there was applause. The ones who supported the dream before there was proof. The people who called, listened, shared, encouraged, challenged, laughed, cried, created, and grew alongside him. Rick also reflects on why we sometimes wait until someone is gone to publicly tell the world how much they meant to us—and why he refuses to wait. Because some things deserve to be said **now**. Some people deserve to hear **“I’m proud of you” now.** Some people deserve to hear **“Thank you” now.** And the people you love deserve their flowers **while they’re still here to enjoy them.** No stage. No acceptance music. No envelope. **No trophy required.** Just gratitude. **Let me say this now.** Support the show

When life became Content | The Rick H. Show | Ep. 239

Send us a Message! When did we stop experiencing life... and start recording it? In this episode of The Rick H. Show, Rick Hierro takes an honest look at the world we've created through social media—a world where vacations become photo shoots, dinners become content, milestones become posts, and our value is often measured by views, likes, and followers. Somewhere along the way, we stopped asking, "Did I enjoy this moment?" and started asking, "Did I get enough content?" Rick reflects on the pressure to appear successful, the addiction to validation, and the quiet competition that exists behind every scroll. He shares how easy it is to compare your everyday life to someone else's highlight reel, and how social media can slowly convince us that looking happy is more important than actually being happy. But this conversation isn't about deleting social media or criticizing the people who use it. It's about asking a much bigger question: Have we become so focused on documenting our lives that we've forgotten how to truly live them? If you've ever found yourself reaching for your phone before appreciating the moment in front of you, comparing your journey to someone else's, or feeling pressure to keep up with an image that isn't even real... this episode is for you. Because the greatest moments in life aren't always the ones that go viral. Sometimes they're the ones that never make it to the internet. 🎙️ EP. 236 — "When Life Became Content" A conversation about authenticity, comparison, validation, and remembering how to live a life that's worth experiencing—not just posting Support the show

The Weight I Never Talked About | The Rick H. Show | Ep. 237

Send us a Message! Episode 237: Lately, I've been asking myself some hard questions. Am I being the father my kids deserve? Am I showing up for my wife the way she needs me to? Have I been the friend people can count on? And maybe the hardest question of all... Have I lost the part of me that loves to create? For a while, the microphone stayed off. The camera collected dust. Ideas came and went, but nothing felt good enough to share. Self-doubt has a way of making you forget everything you've accomplished. So I had to remind myself. I've never been just a podcast host. I've been the producer, the writer, the creative director, the interviewer, the audio engineer, the video editor, the graphic designer, the marketer, and the person behind the scenes making sure every episode comes to life. I've built a podcast network from the ground up. I've helped create shows for other people. I've filmed, edited, and produced content that many people never even realized I was behind. Somewhere along the way, I stopped giving myself credit. This episode isn't about pretending everything is okay. It's about what happens when the person everyone believes in has to figure out how to believe in himself again. If you've ever questioned your purpose, your abilities, or whether you're enough for the people you love, I hope this conversation reminds you of something we all forget from time to time: Your worst season doesn't erase everything you've built. Sometimes, before you can move forward, you have to remember who you've always been. Support the show

The Best Version of Me Has Three Names | The Rick H. Show | Ep. 236

Send us a Message! EP. 253 — **The Best Version of Me Has Three Names** For years, I believed success was measured by accomplishments, promotions, recognition, and the goals I could check off a list. Then I became a father. And everything I thought mattered... changed. In this deeply personal episode of *The Rick H. Show*, I reflect on how fatherhood transformed not only my life, but my identity. This isn't an episode about parenting advice—it's about becoming the kind of man my children inspired me to be. Through stories about Jonas, Emilia, and Viviana, I share the unexpected lessons they've taught me about patience, humility, love, perspective, and purpose. Each of them has challenged me in different ways, revealing strengths I didn't know I had and flaws I could no longer ignore. This conversation is about legacy. About showing up. About realizing that the greatest accomplishments in life aren't always found in your career or your achievements—they're found in the people who quietly change your heart every single day. Whether you're a parent, hope to become one someday, or simply have someone who changed the way you see the world, this episode is a reminder that our greatest teachers often come in the smallest forms.
