RECollections: Resident Evil 2 (1998) - 30th Anniversary Mini-Cast
Our 30th anniversary celebrations continues with a mini-cast featuring the all time classic - Resident Evil 2. Now heralded as one of the best survival horror games ever made, upon release not everyone on REP was quite on board with the series at this point and indeed for some, would come much later. We now recollect our memories of first entering into the RPD, the intertwining narrative and admiring the sheer balls of Capcom to make something so grand, so new that took everything from the first game and improving upon it without relying on the same characters - in other words making a complete sequel. Neptune's Killer Question also returns to round out this mini-cast special.

Episode 114: Resident Evil Deadly Silence Retrospective
Way back in 2006, Capcom released Resident Evil Deadly Silence, a port of the original 1996 classic to celebrate 10 years of the franchise. Of course, Deadly Silence would also include the REbirth mode - a new way to play through the Spencer Mansion taking full advantage of the DS's hardware/gimmicks depending on your point of view! 20 years on STARS TyranT, Rombie and Neptune revisit this quirky (and now quite expensive) title to see how it holds up and celebrate all the new additions that make this title so unique. Yes, this is of course another excuse to discuss the OG game, and why not as we enter the 30th anniversary year, but rest assured all the touchscreen puzzles are assessed and memories of blowing into the rotting corpse of Richard are shared fondly! In the news we take a look at the new trailer for the Resident Evil film by Zach Cregger, and finish off with an RE DS themed quiz.

REP Presents: Resident Evil Vendetta Audio Commentary
Welcome to REP's audio commentary for the third feature length CGI Film - Resident Evil Vendetta. Hopes were high going into the original release of this film, the prologue seemed scary, Chris and Leon team up again and the further return of Rebecca Chambers pumped up the expectations of another bioweapon flick. Sadly this film did not impress at the time and with this commentary, many were returning for the first time. Join STARS TyranT, Neptune and a slightly poorly Rombie as we watch along this John Wick, Saw and of course Looney Tune inspired entry into the Biohazard franchise. Episode 113: Resident Evil Veronica (Remake) Reveal
Another Resident Evil gets the remake treatment with its reveal at Summer Games Fest 2026. Rumours had been rife a week before the show and indeed kicking the presentation off was this 4 minute trailer highlighting Claire's investigation in Paris and subsequent capture. With a slightly new name, Resident Evil Veronica will be a reimagining of this beloved (but poor selling) classic title - and one that is very close to the hearts of a a few us on REP - not all! As such, this announcement has divided the team with some happy to see an early 3D title get that glorious RE Engine overhaul, with others perhaps less than enthusiastic shall we say?!! Throw in a new style zapping system, optional gameplay perspectives and the apparent harmony of the classic survival horror of RE7 and the survival action of RE4 - how could this possibly gel? Episode 108: Resident Evil - The T-Virus
Welcome to a deep-dive on one of the key lore elements of the entire franchise. The t-virus is what started it all, creating the various zombies and monsters we have all fallen in love with for almost 30 years now. In this episode, we extrapolate the virus from top to bottom, going back to its origins with the Progenitor Virus, then looking at the entire history of Umbrella's t-virus project, discussing all its variants, its properties, and what the goal was behind it all. Also discussed is the Tyrant Project and some of the known t-virus variants that were developed after Umbrella's demise. In the news we look at various Requiem updates and GOG's release of OG Resident Evil 2 and 3, including the concerning quotes that Capcom appear so dismissive of these original classics. Episode 107: Happy Birthday Resident Evil 4 Separate Ways
Released in the United States 20 years to the day, the PS2 version of Resident Evil 4 marked a major first in the Biohazard series - the first subsequent re-release with a major canonical add-on in the form of the wonderful Separate Ways campaign. At the time whilst such a notion greatly annoyed GameCube owners, many saw Separate Way as the extra that "saved the game" in terms of connection to the overall Resident Evil lore. 20 years on, REP once again make their way back to Spain to replay this short and sweet Ada adventure beginning to end. We recount our tales with tips and tricks from various platforms - that is if Neptune does not have any issues playing with a WaveBird controller. News includes the surprising revelation that Switch 2 is getting a Requiem release - as well more updates from Survival Unit - much to STARS TyranT's dismay!

Episode 106: Resident Evil Requiem Demo
With Capcom building up the hype nicely for Resident Evil 9 at recent gameshows, we thought it would a good idea to discuss the recently released (albeit limited) demo that was made available at Gamescom 2025. To bring some first hand impressions to the table, REP is delighted to have legendary content creator, writer, voice actor and all round biohazard superfan, Suzi the Sphere Hunter join Neptune, Rombie and Astra (Mr. Spencer) in this bonus podcast! Suzi is able to share the time spent exploring this forsaken hospital, the intricacies of the monster (Lisa?), camera angles, ray tracing and tactics that fans can all look forward to when the game drops next year! Episode 105: Resident Evil Revelations 2 Retrospective
In what can be described as one of the last canonical spin offs in the Resident Evil series, Revelations 2 is now a decade old - so what better opportunity to return to this hellish island and see how this early PS4/Xbox One title holds up 10 years later. A known favourite game of George Trevor and most of the team as a whole with credit often being given for bringing horror back to the series. Episode 102: The Future of Resident Evil
The title says it all! With Resident Evil 9 still someways off, we take this unusually lenghty gap between announcements from Capcom (in fact we think it's the longest in the 30 years of the series) to delve into the possibilities of what is next to come for our favourite horror franchise. Such has been the gap, we have not really done a podcast like this since the pilot and together with comments from our patreons, we examine what could be next both out of universe and from a lore perspective. Yes, this means a re-examination of that REmake train and discussion of the future of spin offs (if any). We have multiple hopes from the fans on what they want to see next too from the lore perspective - a continuation of the Hound Wolf Squad story, more Mia Winters, or perhaps even a prequel with George Trevor - no prizes for guessing which team member that came from! Episode 101: Happy Birthday Resident Evil Outbreak File 2: End of the Road
Welcome all as we bring the curtain down on our year-long Resident Evil Outbreak retrospective. We are down to the last scenario of File 2, the aptly named End of the Road, and battle Hunters, Zombies and a quite relentless Tyrant as we all make a break to escape Raccoon City before the missile (or is is missiles?) drop. Getting Linda Baldwin to safety can potentially save millions of lives, but does Neptune realise that? What is the best ending? Just how valuable is the remote bomb switch for the Tyrant, and when is the right time to use it? These are just some of the quandaries faced by our team during one last desperate bid to escape. Episode 99: Happy Birthday Resident Evil Outbreak File 2: Flashback and Desperate Times
Our File 2 celebrations continue as this time the REP team head deep into Raccoon Forest to investigate a mystery that has been ongoing since 1993 when Kurt, a reporter from Raccoon City, went mysteriously missing following rumours of illegal goings-on at an old hospital in the mountains. Join us as Neptune comes face to face with Al Lester and his axe, and listen to STARS_TyranT's increasing despair about his team's failure to utilise the auto-aim function when surrounded by wasps. We discuss Flashback's unique setting, the enemies, puzzles and of course a deep-live into the lore and backstory. Next we make our last stand at the R.P.D. and barricade ourselves inside the famous police station as the zombies close in outside. We discuss all the quirks of this scenario including how it pays respectful homage to the games that came before and revealing a few secrets that enhance the overall experience. This is quintessential Resident Evil and a micro-slice of what makes this series so enduring to this day. Just shut off the nerve gas defence system please...
