Exorcist III (1990) - HHF4F3

We’re getting whiplash when it comes to quality for FRANCHISE FREAK FRIDAYS but that’s just how it goes when you horrorload for HALLOWEEN HUMPFEST. It’s just gotta be done. After the Exorcist’s sequel, which should only be consumed by the most loyal Fangoria subscribers, got universally panned it took thirteen years to get another one. William Peter Blatty really wanted to save that film legacy the best he could so they let him adapt his own book this time and brought in General Patton himself, George C. Scott and a young Brad Dourif to bring the creeping and possession to a different level. Thus we have EXORCIST III from 1990. We might call this a narrow redemption but apparently audiences are split on this one. What do you think?
