Midnighters, The rooftop session at Tomorrowland was last night. Thank you to everyone who came up. That crowd made the last hour of the night feel like the room was playing itself, and a good part of what you hear this week is what worked up there while it was still warm. We open on Drumcode. Volkoder and Korolova with "Waiting For You" sets the temperature straight away, no ceremony, just the pull. Tim Kollberg follows on Gain Records with "Pleasure State," which is one of four Gain records in this episode. That was not a plan. It is just where the good stuff kept landing this month. Then something a little sideways. Victor Ruiz took Liquid Soul and Captain Hook and pulled "Liquid Hook" out of psy territory and into something with real floor weight. It is the widest moment in the first half and it earns its place. "Retriever" sits at fifteen minutes in. My own, named after the dog most of you have already met on Instagram. It has been in every set since I finished it and it keeps doing the same thing to a room, so it stays. The middle of the show is where the groove takes over. Sisko Electrofanatik and Katerino go straight for the low end. Devid Dega on Second State brings the kind of old school devotion the title promises, and Jil Tanner keeps the pressure honest without ever raising her voice. Monika Kruse's "Morgana" in Patrik Berg's hands is the moment I would point a new listener to. It breathes. From Norvis onward it climbs. Jay Lumen's "Dance4Life" on Arcane is unapologetic peak time, digi.codes answers it with something colder and sharper, and Melvin Spix with TimeKube strip it back to exactly what is needed. That strip-back is the part I care most about. Give people less and they lean in. Procombo's "Unknown Force B" is the last hard turn before Franco Smith closes it out with "Anthem" on Natura Viva. Midnighters, this hour is for you. Last week you showed up in numbers that still make me smile, and the best way I know to say thank you is to raise the bar again. So this week we go deep into Drumcode territory. Pan-Pot's Diamonds Head sets the pace on Mobilee, then Adam Beyer takes over the first quarter of the hour twice in a row. Alto with Layton Giordani is rave kissed and written in a major key, built from the same vocal source as The Orb's Little Fluffy Clouds, and Let Loose with DJ Jock keeps that Drumcode drive rolling straight into Freak Your Mind on Truesoul. Around the halfway point, I slipped in one of my own. Retriever is my new track, named after the four-legged member of this household, and it sits between the warm groove of Chemistry by Dhuna and Pablo Say and the low-end pressure of Feel My Bass. From there, Jay Lumen and DJ Jordan push the tempo before 6 SENSE tells you exactly what to do with Say It. The final stretch goes big. Free My Soul, the brand new collaboration between Vini Vici, Space 92 and CERES on Armada, dropped only days ago and already feels like a festival closer. Psytrance energy, techno drums, one soaring vocal. I follow it with the Olly James rework of Cosmic Gate's Exploration Of Space, a classic reborn, then land the hour with Disco Move and Strange Days. Midnighters, last week I told you we are bringing the groove back to Ibiza. Then Friday happened. The rooftop filled up, the sun went down over Playa d'en Bossa, and a lot of you told me you came through the show. That is the whole point of this project, and episode 218 picks up exactly where that night left off. We open with Per Hammar's "Shuriken" on Natura Viva Black. Sharp, stripped, straight into the pocket. Yes, that label again. Three weeks running now they have earned a spot in the show, and this one shows why. Victor Ruiz and Kaufmann follow with "Don't Mess With Us" on VOLTA, a collaboration that sounds exactly as confident as the title suggests. The middle of the hour is where it gets physical. JLuna's "Emergency SEQ," Teenage Mutants' "Conflicted Mind," and A.D.H.S. back for the second week in a row, this time with "Eos" on DCLTD. Then Pan-Pot land "Futoreno" on Second State, and right after it comes my favorite moment of the episode: Mark Broom's remix of "Tropical Melons" by 2000 And One on Rekids. A Dutch classic, rebuilt by one of the UK's finest. I have loved this record since my Amsterdam years, and hearing it come back around like this made my week. The back half runs from the YellowHeads' peak mode "Reboot.exe" into Giorgia Angiuli's "Light" on Terminal M, the melodic breath of the hour. Midnighters, this one is built on groove. It is late July on the island. The nights barely cool down and everything I play out here lately has that rolling, physical quality. Episode 217 came together with that in mind. We open with a KASIA double: "No Competition" with Equinøx on Arcane, then "The Realm," her Drumcode collaboration with Layton Giordani. After that it breathes. Pablo Say's "I'm a Dreamer" is the melodic moment of the hour. If you write in about one track this week, my money is on this one. Then the groove takes over. A.D.H.S. on DCLTD, RHAPSODIE's "Void," and a middle stretch with four Natura Viva Black records, the second week running the label lands that many in the show. Pig&Dan's "Aptitude" is my pick of the four. Play this section loud. Monika Kruse's "Latex" on Terminal M anchors the back half, KENZ's "Blade" brings the Drumcode peak, and JJ Mullor and Gombok Project close with "Grooveaholic." Fitting title. Midnighters, Four Natura Viva Black records in one hour. That was not the plan when I started digging this week, but the label is on a run right now, and it shows. Daniele Papini's Hidden Source opens the show, AKKI and Kaspar hold the middle with Horizon, and DJ Dextro closes everything down with Unbalance. When one imprint bookends your whole set, you pay attention. In between, Drumcode does what Drumcode does. Rafael Cerato and Charles D bring Right Now, a track I have been hearing everywhere this summer, and Mark Reeve drops a tool called Work that is exactly that: no frills, all function. Listen also for the two Arcane cuts back to back around the halfway mark. KASIA and Shalev called their track I Like It Raw, and after Linska and Duss set it up with Criminal, raw is precisely what you get. The stretch from Sophie van Hayden's The Void into Ignacio Arfeli and Tommahawk's The Unknown is my favorite moment this week. Two titles about darkness and uncertainty, and somehow the most hypnotic ten minutes of the hour. Midnighters, We open with Achilles, fresh off the Panic release that Thomas Schumacher and A.D.H.S. dropped on Electric Ballroom last Friday. Four days old and already setting the tone for this hour: Berlin drive, no warm-up, straight in. From there it keeps rolling. Anna Reusch on Tronic, Pan-Pot with Gray Cosmo on their own Second State, and a Peak Mode mix from YellowHeads that does exactly what the name promises. Listen for the vocal in Linska's Four Four, rhys from the sticks gives the middle of this set an unexpected human moment before Norvis pulls everything back into the dark. The last twenty minutes are pure engine room. Dok & Martin's Generator on DCLTD, Rich Coote's Thunderbird, and DJ Jordan closing with a track called Big Beautiful Bass. He is not lying. Midnighters, Six months into 2026, and these are the tracks that never left my bag. This is a bonus episode of The Midnight Project. One hour of the records that defined my sets in the first half of the year. Recorded in one take from the studio in Ibiza. You will hear a lot of Terminal M, Drumcode, and Arcane in this one. That was not planned; it is just where the energy lived these past six months. Monika Kruse appears twice, once with a brand new remix and once with a remastered classic that still destroys rooms 25 years after it first did. Some records earn their place in a midyear list by being new. Others earn it by refusing to age. Full disclosure: two of my own tracks made the cut, Paws and a private edit of HI-LO's REESE.
