93. Why don't I feel sexy since becoming a mum? with Alice Jackson
Becoming a mum can change your relationship with your body in ways you might not expect. But what happens when it also changes your relationship with yourself as a sexual woman? In this episode of The Mama Circle, I’m joined by Somatic Intimacy Coach and Embodiment Teacher Alice Jackson to talk about sexuality after motherhood, and why finding that part of yourself again is about so much more than simply having more sex. We talk about how pregnancy, birth and breastfeeding can change desire and the way we experience our bodies, why so many mums can feel disconnected from pleasure, what it means to reclaim your body after motherhood, and the small ways we can begin reconnecting with sensation, sensuality and what actually feels good to us now. And this conversation isn’t over. Next week, Alice and I move from our relationship with our own sexuality to sex and intimacy with somebody else: making time for sex after kids, mismatched desire, communication, and dating as a single mum. About Alice Alice Jackson is a Somatic Intimacy Coach and Embodiment Teacher with over a decade of experience helping women reconnect with their bodies, desires and sense of self.
