    Predatory Flutists; Bradley Garner

In 2018, public allegations of systemic sexual harassment were released against flute professor Bradley Garner by the University on Cincinnati. He was found guilty but retired before he could be fired. A subsequent legal case didn’t meet the required level of evidence for a conviction. Today I present the full story of the disgraced former Juilliard professor. Abusive French Flute Professors

In August 2018, Le Nouvel Obs published an article detailing a 16 year old students tale of violent seggsual abuse at the hands of a prominent French flute professor in 2012. Following criminal convictions and French senate reviews, the identity has never been disclosed. Today I translate that article into English, read it and theorise on who it may be. Mozart's Fresh Flute Drop

We got a new Mozart flute piece before GTA6, and this week I’m breaking down how that possibly happened. Tucked away in Paris’ Bibliothèque nationale de France, 7 short Mozart pieces for flute and harp were discovered in February 2026. They got their debut performance on the 21st June, so I look at what happened in that time and why it took the French 250 odd years to find them. "Paris Blue" Reviewing Flute Romance

Paris Blue: A Memoir of First Love is the debut novel from flutist Julie Scolnik, detailing her own experiences of music and love in the City of Lights in the 70s. I read the entire thing, and break it down here. This story of manipulative teachers, abuse, affairs, love, orchestras, conductors and wine couldn’t be more French; and I enjoyed every second of it. The Patriarchy and The Flute Community
