Jack Hanson begins reviewing the recordings. What he finds should be simple. Confirmation of what he already knows. The recordings should help him make sense of the gaps. Instead, they deepen them. The tapes only make things harder to understand. The more he rewinds, the less certain everything becomes: What he remembers, what he said, and what actually happened. Moments feel heavier. Details don’t line up the way they should. And the more he listens, the more it feels like he’s chasing something just out of reach. For the first time, Jack starts to question not just what happened; But how much of it he can trust. “Playback” is where Jack realizes he may not be catching up to the truth... He may be falling further behind it.
