Lesson 4: The Case for Inclusive Dualism

The debate between dualists and materialists has lasted four centuries. Both sides were half right. The dualists were right that the mind is genuinely different from the matter it inhabits. The materialists were right that there is no supernatural ingredient. But neither had the framework to be right about both at once. Inclusive dualism is that framework. Not a compromise between the two positions — a resolution of them. The functional layer is real, fully natural, and fully scientific. And it was hiding in plain sight.

Lesson 4: The Case for Inclusive Dualism is live.
