Tales From the Janitor

Bone13 Productions

Before you dive headfirst into the strange and mysterious world of Tales from the Janitor, we feel it’s our duty to warn you: you may encounter a few things that are... well, a little unusual.

This audio drama is a work of fiction, just like your friend’s wild “I totally saw Bigfoot” stories, but without the questionable Snapchat pictures. All characters, events, and locations are purely fictional. If you think you've heard these legends before... it’s probably because you’ve stayed up way too late watching spooky YouTube videos.

This show is meant to entertain, not to keep you up at night staring at the shadows in your closet (though, let’s be honest, that’s between you and your imagination). While the stories we tell come from the urban legends, we cannot promise that any of them are “real” or that the ghosts will offer you a cup of coffee during their haunting.

Also, Tales from the Janitor contains supernatural happenings, creepy noises, and, occasionally, a talking raccoon that might not be as friendly as it seems. We recommend listening with a sense of humor—and maybe a light on if you’re the jumpy type.

By continuing, you acknowledge that you’re entering a world where the strange is the norm, and the normal... well, it’s just not around here. Enjoy the ride and remember nothing you hear is likely to follow you home. Probably.

Tales from the Janitor: Chilling Urban Legends from Vermont | Horror Audio Drama

Vermont has always been good at keeping secrets. In this episode, grief and mystery unfold side by side. A grieving soul returns to the same gravesite, searching for a reason to keep moving forward, while beneath the frozen landscape, a hidden organization quietly shapes history from the shadows. As old wounds reopen and impossible truths begin to surface, two stories slowly drift toward the same unsettling question: Who decides what history becomes? Some memories refuse to fade. Some secrets were never meant to be uncovered. And beneath Vermont... some things have been waiting a very long time to be found. Tales from the Janitor: Chilling Urban Legends from Utah | Horror Audio Drama

Utah doesn’t stay quiet for long. In this episode, stories unfold across the desert in places where the map starts to fail you. A canyon road that shouldn’t exist. A voice carried through empty air. And something that feels like it’s been waiting a long time for someone to notice it again. Three separate stories drift toward the same edge... where belief, fear, and memory start to blur, and it becomes harder to tell what’s part of the land… and what’s been put there. Some things in Utah don’t get lost. They get buried where people can still find them. Tales from the Janitor: Chilling Urban Legends from Texas | Horror Audio Drama

Welcome back to Tales from the Janitor, the horror podcast where the stories don’t stay where you left them. Tonight, we’re heading deep into Texas. Long highways. Empty woods. Small towns with old scars. And places where something in the dark still remembers your name. In Episode 43 Texas, what starts as a simple conversation inside a diner slowly turns into something much worse. Three friends find themselves trapped underground on a cursed road where the dirt itself seems alive. A pediatric ward in Bexar County is shaken by a string of impossible deaths tied to a woman no one should be seeing. And near Texarkana, the terror behind the Moonlight Murders may not be finished hunting after all. This episode blends Southern Gothic horror, ghost stories, urban legends, and psychological dread into one long descent through haunted roads, cursed land, and people who realize too late that some places never let you go. Because in Texas, fear doesn’t always come from monsters. Sometimes it comes from the land itself. If you’re into dark audio dramas, paranormal horror, unsettling folklore, and slow-burning supernatural stories, settle in. Just remember… some roads should stay abandoned. Some voices should never answer back. And some stories were buried for a reason. Proceed if you dare. The stories, characters, ghosts, cursed roads, terrifying hospitals, chain-dragging murder spirits, and deeply questionable tax advice are all created for entertainment purposes. Please do not attempt to take financial guidance from mysterious janitors in roadside diners. If you hear whispers coming from the woods, see an old woman reading bedtime stories in an empty hallway, or suddenly feel the overwhelming urge to file your taxes early…that’s between you and Texas. Tales from the Janitor: Chilling Urban Legends from Tennessee | Horror Audio Drama

Welcome back to Tales from the Janitor, the horror podcast where the stories don’t just echo… they linger. Tonight, we’re clocking in down in Tennessee, where the roads stretch long, the woods grow thick, and some things buried in the past never stayed buried to begin with. In Episode 42: “Tennessee”, four stories collide into one nightmare you can’t walk away from. A crash scene with no survivors… and no bodies. A late-night betrayal that calls something out of the trees… something that doesn’t forgive. A graveyard warning about guilt that follows you long after you leave. And a schoolyard secret—violent, buried, and waiting behind a mirror that should’ve never been touched. This isn’t just folklore. This is what happens when urban legends, guilt, and the supernatural collide. Blending Southern Gothic horror, real-feeling ghost stories, haunted locations, and psychological dread, this episode builds toward something deeper—something watching from inside the story itself. Because down here, it’s not the ghosts you need to worry about. It’s what made them. If you’re into dark audio dramas, true horror storytelling, paranormal podcasts, and unsettling urban legends, you’re in the right place. Just remember... Some mirrors don’t show your reflection. Some places don’t let you leave. And some stories… They were never meant to be heard. Proceed if you dare. They’re here for entertainment, a little unease, and that quiet sense that maybe you’re not as alone as you thought. So if you catch yourself checking the rearview mirror more than once… or pausing a little too long in front of a dark reflection… that’s kind of the point. Just don’t go testing what you hear. Some stories don’t like being challenged. Some things are better left exactly where they are—out there, in the dark, where they belong. Any resemblance to real people, real events, or something standing just beyond the tree line… that’s all coincidence. …at least, that’s what people like to tell themselves. Sleep well. And if you hear something tonight— don’t answer it.

    The Seven Deadly Sins

Welcome to Tales from the Janitor: The Seven Deadly Sins, a dark horror episode and immersive audio drama where every late-night hallway leads to something a little more dangerous than spilled coffee and flickering lights. Tonight we’re opening the supply closet on seven of humanity’s oldest problems — Pride, Greed, Wrath, Envy, Lust, Gluttony, and Sloth — the classic sins that have been ruining perfectly good lives since long before anyone invented security cameras. In this psychological horror episode, we dive into a different sin through terrifying urban legends, supernatural horror stories, and chilling encounters where ordinary people make one bad choice and discover the consequences waiting in the dark. Greed opens doors that should stay locked. Envy whispers lies until friendships rot. Wrath turns anger into something that stalks the night. Lust pulls people toward dangers they know they shouldn’t touch. Pride blinds them until it’s too late to see what’s standing behind them. Gluttony consumes more than food, and Sloth… well, sometimes the scariest thing is what happens when people stop caring at all. Told with eerie storytelling, atmospheric horror audio drama, and the dry humor of a janitor who has cleaned up more human messes than ghostly ones, Tales from the Janitor: Seven Deadly Sins is a horror podcast about temptation, consequences, and the uncomfortable truth that the real monsters in the story might not be supernatural at all — they might just be the parts of ourselves we pretend aren’t there. Tales from the Janitor: Chilling Urban Legends from South Dakota | Horror Audio Drama

Welcome to Tales from the Janitor — a horror podcast and immersive audio drama exploring South Dakota urban legends, paranormal folklore, and chilling supernatural stories whispered across the plains. Tonight we’re clocking in across the Black Hills and the wide-open prairie, where the wind never really stops and some legends refuse to fade. We’re talking about Walking Sam, the tall shadowy figure said to roam the Pine Ridge Reservation at night. The powerful spirit Gitchi Manitou, tied to the ancient energy of the Black Hills. And the classic backroad nightmare The Hook, where a lonely prairie road, a parked car, and a killer with a hook for a hand turn into one of America’s most famous urban legends. Each story blends true ghost stories, paranormal encounters, folklore horror, and immersive audio drama storytelling, told with slow dread and the kind of dry janitor humor that comes from working night shifts in buildings that definitely have more footsteps than people. If you enjoy horror podcasts, paranormal storytelling, urban legends, and supernatural audio drama, you’re in the right place. Thanks for listening… and if you’re driving a quiet South Dakota road at night… Don’t stop. Some things out there like company. Tales from the Janitor: Chilling Urban Legends from South Carolina | Horror Audio Drama

Welcome to Tales from the Janitor — a horror podcast and immersive audio drama uncovering South Carolina urban legends, haunted Lowcountry folklore, and real paranormal nightmares locals would rather blame on humidity. Tonight, we’re clocking in across the Palmetto State — where moss sways without wind, swamps hide secrets, and history refuses to stay buried. Beyond beaches and sweet tea, South Carolina is packed with haunted towns, cursed backroads, Civil War ghost sightings, swamp cryptids, and Southern Gothic horror legends passed down through whispers and warnings. We’re meeting the Boo Hag, a Gullah Geechee nightmare that steals skin and slips into homes unnoticed. Then comes the Lizard Man of Scape Ore Swamp, a reptilian cryptid blamed for shredded cars and terrifying late-night encounters. We’ll step inside The Bar, where unusual sightings outnumber regulars, and uncover the tragic legend of Julia Legare, whose premature burial still haunts South Carolina cemeteries. Along the coast, witnesses continue spotting The Gray Man of Pawleys Island, a ghost said to appear before devastating hurricanes… usually as a warning. Each story blends true ghost stories, paranormal storytelling, Southern folklore horror, and cinematic audio drama atmosphere, delivered with slow dread and janitor humor earned from cleaning buildings that shouldn’t still be occupied. If you enjoy paranormal podcasts, haunted history, urban legend horror, and Southern Gothic audio drama, you’re exactly where you shouldn’t be. The show is free — but keeping lights flickering and swamp creatures cooperative takes effort. If you enjoy it, leave a review, share it, or donate coffee strong enough to survive haunted night shifts. Thanks for listening… and if you ever walk alone through a South Carolina swamp, cemetery, or abandoned coastal town… Walk quietly. Some legends listen. And some answer. Tales from the Janitor: Chilling Urban Legends from Rhode Island | Horror Audio Drama

Welcome to Tales from the Janitor — your mildly irresponsible, definitely sleep-destroying walk through Rhode Island’s creepiest legends, coastal nightmares, and those moments where you swear the ocean just looked back at you. This episode? We’re heading into the Ocean State — which sounds cute until you realize how much of it is old, damp, and quietly watching you. Shadowy figures around abandoned mills. Voices echoing off empty docks. Lights moving in places lighthouses swear they don’t reach anymore. From Providence backstreets to lonely roads in South County, Rhode Island has a habit of keeping its ghosts close… and not always polite. We’re talking colonial leftovers that never learned how to rest, strange encounters near the water, and stories that start with “this sounds fake” and end with “yeah, I stopped going there after that.” Every tale comes with slow-burn dread, uneasy silence, and the kind of dry janitor humor you only earn after cleaning buildings that really shouldn’t still be occupied. If you’re into real ghost stories, New England folklore, or those “my uncle swears this happened” kind of encounters — congrats. You’re exactly where you shouldn’t be. Why listen? Chilling Rhode Island legends, hauntings, and coastal weirdness • A darkly funny, first-person ride with a janitor who knows too much • Perfect for fans of paranormal podcasts, horror stories, and Northeast folklore The show’s free — but keeping the lights half-working and the ghosts moderately cooperative takes effort. If you’re enjoying it, leave a review, share it with your bravest friend, or donate a Dunkin’ coffee strong enough to keep me awake through whatever knocks around after midnight (no promises). Tales from the Janitor: Chilling Urban Legends from Pennsylvania | Horror Audio Drama

Welcome to Tales from the Janitor, your slightly questionable, definitely sleep-ruining tour through Pennsylvania’s creepiest legends, haunted hollows, and why is that glowing in the woods? Mysteries... all told by your local mop-carrying menace who knows way too much about things that go bump under fluorescent lighting. This episode? Oh, we’re diving deep into the Keystone State... where shadowy figures linger along old coal mines, phantom hitchhikers don’t wait for Ubers, and ancient things lurk somewhere between the Appalachians and the Wawa parking lot at 2am. From Gettysburg ghosts to strange whispers in abandoned steel mills, Pennsylvania’s got more hauntings than potholes… and that’s saying something. Every tale drips with atmosphere, slow building dread, and that slightly sarcastic janitor humor you only get from someone who’s swept up more paranormal messes than spilled chocolate milk. Tales from the Janitor: Chilling Urban Legends from Oklahoma | Horror Audio Drama

Welcome to Tales from the Janitor, a spine-chilling plunge into Oklahoma’s most unsettling urban legends, prairie-born folklore, and red-dirt hauntings… all told through the mop-wielding perspective of your eerie (and oddly well-informed) custodial guide. In this episode, we drift past the wind-beaten plains and into the quiet corners of the Sooner State—where phantom oilmen wander forgotten rigs, ghostly cries echo through dust-covered small towns, and something ancient still hums beneath the red clay and cracked church floors. Every story is soaked in atmosphere, slow dread, and that dry humor you only find from someone who’s spent too many nights sweeping empty hallways in a haunted schoolhouse. Whether you crave true ghost stories, roadside legends, or chilling encounters from deep in Tornado Alley, Tales from the Janitor brings you Oklahoma horror with a wink and a warning. Why Listen? • Bone-chilling tales rooted in Oklahoma history and lore • A darkly humorous first-person journey with your cryptic janitor host • Perfect for fans of paranormal podcasts, immersive horror, and eerie Midwestern-Great Plains legends Each episode is free—but keeping the lights flickering and the spirits whispering takes a little elbow grease. If you like what you hear, consider leaving a review, sharing it with your bravest friends, or donating a cup of ghost-proof coffee. Thanks for tuning in… and whatever you do, don’t go snooping around that old janitor’s closet in the basement of the abandoned high school off Route 66. Some stains just don’t wash out. A Story Carried in Silence follows the intimate, emotional journey of a mortician who prepares the dead with care, dignity, and quiet reverence. Through whispered conversations with the departed and encounters with the grieving, the mortician reveals the hidden weight of memory, loss, and the stories we leave behind. What begins as routine preparation becomes a haunting meditation on love, regret, and remembrance when a forgotten poet’s notebooks surface, connecting the living and the dead in unexpected ways. Perfect for fans of dark audio dramas, emotional storytelling, supernatural mysteries, and hauntingly beautiful narratives. Tales from the Janitor: Chilling Urban Legends from Ohio | Horror Audio Drama

Welcome to Tales from the Janitor, a spine-chilling plunge into Ohio’s most unsettling urban legends, rust-belt folklore, and cornfield-haunted mysteries… all told through the mop-wielding perspective of your eerie (and oddly well-informed) custodial guide. In this episode, we wander beyond the smokestacks of forgotten factories and into the shadowed woods of the Buckeye State… where ghostly children still play along the banks of the Ohio River, headless trainmen stalk midnight rail lines, and something restless stirs beneath the dark waters of Lake Erie. Every story is delivered with rich atmosphere, creeping dread, and just enough dry humor to keep you nervously chuckling as the wind rattles through the cornfields outside. Whether you crave true ghost stories, industrial gothic legends, or chilling encounters from the Heart of It All, Tales from the Janitor offers a uniquely terrifying perspective from behind the mop bucket. Why Listen? • Bone-chilling tales rooted in Ohio history and lore • A darkly humorous first-person journey with your cryptic janitor host • Perfect for fans of paranormal podcasts, immersive horror, and eerie Midwestern legends Each episode is free—but keeping the boilers clanking and the spirits whispering takes time and support. If you like what you hear, consider: leaving a review, sharing with your bravest friends, or donating a cup of ghost-repelling coffee. Thanks for tuning in… and whatever you do, don’t go poking around the old janitor’s closet under the bleachers at that abandoned high school just outside Cleveland.
