শ্রমিক এবং শ্রমিক অধিকারের ক্ষেত্রে শ্রম আইনের গুরুত্ব তুলে ধরার লক্ষ্যেই এই পডকাস্টটি তৈরি করা হয়েছে।
আমরা শ্রম আইন, ফেডারেল সংস্থা, ট্রেড ইউনিয়ন, আমাদের মজুরির ওপর প্রভাব বিস্তারকারী বৈশ্বিক ঘটনাবলি—এবং সেই সাথে আমাদের শ্রমজীবনের ওপর প্রভাব বিস্তারকারী পরিবেশগত বিষয়গুলো নিয়ে আলোচনা করি।
আমেরিকানদের শ্রমিক অধিকার হলো যুক্তরাষ্ট্রের সংবিধানেরই একটি সম্প্রসারিত অংশ।
বিষয়টি পরিষ্কার করে বলতে গেলে—আমি কোনো উগ্র উদারপন্থী (Liberal) নই। আমি একজন রিপাবলিকান পুঁজিবাদী; যার অর্থ হলো—আমি একটি ক্ষুদ্র ও সীমিত কেন্দ্রীয় সরকার, অত্যন্ত নিম্ন করহার এবং সরকারি কল্যাণমূলক কর্মসূচিগুলোর (যদি আদৌ কোনো কর্মসূচি থাকেও) ন্যূনতম উপস্থিতিতে বিশ্বাসী।
আমি গণতন্ত্র এবং পুঁজিবাদে বিশ্বাসী; কারণ একমাত্র গণতন্ত্র ও পুঁজিবাদের কাঠামোর মধ্যেই প্রকৃত স্বাধীনতার সন্ধান পাওয়া সম্ভব।
সরকারের অন্য কোনো শাসনব্যবস্থাই কার্যকর নয়।
