The GAO sought to uncover whether the U.S. Air Force, or any other government agency, held evidence regarding the purported crash and recovery of an extraterrestrial craft and its alien occupants near Roswell, N.M. in July 1947. Following the 1994 report, Air Force researchers unearthed information that offered a logical explanation for the many claims of “alien” bodies linked to the Roswell Incident.
