Rob Standridge, Here I Go Again (Video)

Rob Standridge

I know, some days you wake up and think the world has gone mad; I am right there beside you with a roll of duct tape. But then we find ourselves flying down the hill of life seemingly with no time to worry about the craziness around us, but we must. It is actually easier than you think just to say, "This is not right", and let's start fixing it.

This podcast is part biography — primarily about my guests — part politics, part family, with a hefty dose of entertainment. As serious as life gets — and our current downslide as a culture is definitely serious — we must approach life with a good, happy spirit, and as we stand up to those who wish to tear us down, we must do so with a smile.

Join me —let me know what you think —and maybe one day you'll join us in our conversation. God bless.

Here I Go Again Podcast - Episode 24 - Larry Heikkila

As a retired Navy Master Chief, the highest rank for a non-commissioned officer, Larry Heikkila decided to give back to his community, Norman, which he loves so much, by running for mayor. It was an honor to have Larry on to discuss his run for and time as mayor, as well as his life as an adopted child, his life in a military family, and his desire to give back to his church and community. I have found that Larry and his wife, Janet, both have a servant's heart and go out of their way to welcome everyone and pour into those they encounter. Please join me for a great, uplifting conversation with Larry about politics and more.

Here I Go Again Podcast - Episode 23 - Suzy Ashmore

I was very honored to have a great leader, President of the Cleveland County Republican Women's Club (https://www.facebook.com/share/g/1PnsZigyRo/), and a veteran, Suzy Ashmore. I appreciate Suzy's friendship and her strong leadership, especially for our young Republican women and girls. Holly has a short co-host appearance to visit with Suzy about young women in our universities. From her childhood in the coal-mining country of western Kentucky to her time in the military to her current advocacy for veterans and her leadership in the Republican Party, Suzy boldly shares her positions, opinions, and even her two cents on the Lindsay Clancy trial.

I invite all to enjoy a great conversation and to learn more about something they probably, like me, knew little to nothing about.

Here I Go Again Podcast - Episode 20 - David Bullard

Okay, this podcast episode is awesome. My great friend, and both brother in the Senate and brother in Christ, does a stellar job of going through the Primary Runoff candidates, one by one, and David takes the time to give all his thoughts on their races and why voters should consider the five candidates he (and I) endorse. They are simply: Mike Mazzei for Governor, Marty Quinn for Insurance Commissioner, Kevin West for Labor Commissioner, James Taylor for Superintendent, Jack Stewart for Senate District 18, and Dana Prieto for Senate District 34. These are staunch conservatives, tried and true, and you can absolutely trust that these men are who they say they are and will do everything they can to make Oklahoma the absolute best state it can be. Be sure to go vote on August 25th.

Here I Go Again Podcast - Episode 18 - Mike Mazzei

GO VOTE THIS WEEK OR NEXT TUESDAY, August 25th, FOR MIKE MAZZEI! Mike is a class act, absolutely brilliant, and will work tirelessly every minute he is in the Governor's office to make Oklahomans' lives better. He WILL eliminate income tax, and because I am confident he will find mountains of inefficiencies and overspending, our state's financial picture will be even better. Having had the honor of defending the Homestead Property Tax Elimination at the Oklahoma Supreme Court, I am certainly for eliminating property tax on a person's personal home, but Mike's approach is both politically possible and fiscally responsible. Again, Mike is a stellar guy, so come in, listen to a few ideas he has, and get out and vote for Mike Mazzei for Governor. For further information, go to his website at: https://mikeforok.com/

From Jake's endorsements of several major races in the state, including our Governor race, Jake shares his heart on one of the most exciting Oklahoma First project launches I have ever seen. And get this: we don't even have to bribe Jake with OPM (Other People's Money, aka Tax Money) to create this project right here in Oklahoma. Instead of going national or landing a corporate job after his record-setting campaign, Jake is following God's leading and continuing right where his campaign left off. Enjoy.. and here is a link to Jake's podcast, Jake for the State: https://www.facebook.com/jakeforthestate/.

Here I Go Again Podcast - Episode 16 - Marty Quinn

Marty Quinn, Senator, Representative, citizen, or Insurance Commissioner, is one of the best men you will ever meet. Marty is exactly the person you meet, generous to a fault. Marty's willingness to drop everything and help his family for what ended up being a year or a year and a half longer than he expected is exactly why you should vote for Marty Quinn. My father sold insurance his entire career, and as my dad was the best man I ever met, Marty is much like my father, which is why he has had long-term success in a field that requires honesty, integrity, empathy, and a willingness to go the extra mile. As Insurance Commissioner, you, as a citizen of Oklahoma, will absolutely have a friend in Quinn. For more information or to help Marty, go to https://martyquinnforok.com/.

James, JT, is a solid conservative and a very Godly man who takes his pastor's heart into the classroom today and will bring that same servant's heart into the Department of Education next January. Here I Go Again Podcast - Episode 11 - Don Spencer

On the cusp of election day, join me in a great conversation with a friend and a hero to gun-toting conservatives all over our state, Don Spencer. Don is the President of Ok2A, the Oklahoma Second Amendment Association (www.ok2a.org), and is a tireless champion for gun rights and common-sense conservatism. I promise you will enjoy this conversation as we cover everything from the completely stupid gun laws in Oklahoma's past and today to the elections coming up next Tuesday, June 16th. After this podcast, you will know who to vote for in the Oklahoma State Senate and many of the statewide races. Here I Go Again Podcast - Episode 10 - Shane Jett

Come meet my Freedom Caucus brother, and the current Chairman of the Oklahoma Freedom Caucus, Senator Shane Jett. If you don't know Shane or have never heard him speak, you will love him, especially his open and frank way of telling it like it is about politics, specifically the Oklahoma State Senate. Having served 12 years in the Oklahoma Legislature, Shane has some great stories. Shane and the Freedom Caucus tried 3 times in the waning weeks of the session to pass two Trump-requested bills to end tax-funded welfare for illegal aliens (once with help from an unexpected source), but each time leadership killed the effort, although once a natural disaster supposedly stopped the effort. Find out more about the State Freedom Caucus at https://www.statefreedomcaucus.org/, and follow the OK Freedom Caucus on social media at https://x.com/OKFreedomCaucus and https://www.facebook.com/OkFreedomCaucus. Shane and I referred to several votes and other information. I will try to post them all on my Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/RobMStandridge/ in the comments. Come by, like or follow, and let me know any information you would like me to provide.

Here I Go Again Podcast - Episode 8 - Bob Linn

Join me for a lively, sometimes deep, often lighthearted and funny, thought-provoking conversation with Bob Linn, a good friend and current President of OCPAC for 6-7 years, https://ocpacfoundation.org. From shiploads of wine to unethical medicine to current elections to many other interesting topics, we cover the gamut of politics and current events. In the world of state politics, we talk about the greatness of the Fab 5 and the Freedom Caucus, to the despotism of the current Oklahoma Senate Leadership, where letting members speak is deemed a privilege; I know, it just doesn't sound like the Republic we founded called America, but it is reality.
