    Ask about your flaws

If you're afraid to receive feedback that doesn't tell you how great you are, how do you expect to learn and get better?

    You're feelings aren't facts

Just a friendly reminder, you're not perfect. So yes, your feelings, thoughts, and emotions can be wrong. Start questioning your own reactions before blaming others. You'll find yourself in a better place in the long run.

    You prayed for it...

What good does it do to complain about having to do something that's just a part of life? Plus, you asked for it. You wanted it. You prayed for it. So just take care of it. It's that simple.

    Defeat isn't an unwelcome thought...

Giving up at the first emotion is easy. But we want to not act through our emotions. You can learn to get through that initial charge to work through the problem logically. That's where we want to make the big decisions.

    Be like water

Water doesn't fight reality. It accepts what it's given and finds a way. Then it goes to work building a better path over time. Be like that.

    We need each other

This is random, I know, but that doesn't make it less true. I'm not saying I haven't watched these shows and been entertained by them. That's different. Just pay attention and realize the underlying messaging and discuss them with those in your circle or under your care.

    No bad days

We have thousands of moments each day. Just because some of them are bad, terrible, tragic... fill in the blank, doesn't mean that entire day, week, or month needs to be labeled the same. It's a choice you get to make.

Are we at the last man?

We might be on the way to this now. Maybe parts of societies always were and now we can just see it more. Either way, I don't want this to be my life. I like taking risks and trying things. If that makes me the weird one, I'm all for it 😂

    Don't worry about tomorrow

Spend today being in the moment. Prep your body, mind, and soul. Compete in the thing. Do what today, this moment, has prepared for you. Tomorrow can worry about itself. Plan for the future live in the now.

Hindsight can be bad or good

I don't know about you, but I frequently think in the moment I'm doing worse than I really am. Now, I also know I have this tendency, so I do my best to ignore it and keep pushing. But hindsight certainly helps when I'm done 😂

    Don't listen to me...

If you have to ask me this, you already know the answer. Nobody is required to listen to my takes on life. I'll keep putting my thoughts out there either way 🤷‍♂️😂

    Sensational headlines...

When you get your news from headlines, you're getting the authors opinion and emotion catching penmanship.

  • August 27 · 1 min

    Not freedom of consequences

You always have a choice. You don't always like the consequences for both. There's a difference.

  • August 26 · 1 min

    Make each other better

People seeking your guidance can improve you as much as those you seek guidance from. Keep those people in your company. Iron sharpens iron.

  • August 25 · 2 min

    Listen to understand

We don't need to agree with each other to understand why the other person thinks the way they do. It's rarely your role to convince them anyway. Most of the time the conversation was simply to discuss different points of view and not to convert them. But the need to be right often supersedes the ability to hear.

    Don't decide at peak emotions

Put off your decision making until your emotions are not peaking. Then all you need to do is follow your own decisions that were made before you were in your feelings. Don't over complicate things.

  • August 24 · 2 min

Don't need to be the master...

One level up. That's all you need to pass along what you've learned. Sometimes, those are the best lessons, too, since they are closest to where that person is starting. I'm no expert in Muai Thai or sparring, but I was able to help a couple people who never did it before and they made changes for our next round. I also asked questions of and listened to those with me skill than me to grow in areas I felt less comfortable in. No egos. Just a willingness to grow together.

  • August 22 · 2 min

    Be happy for others...

Being competitive and being able to be happy for someone that bested you aren't mutually exclusive. That doesn't mean you can't work to change the outcome next time or see your mistakes to improve. It just means that your ego isn't so big that you can recognize others have skills as well, and you can acknowledge that and still be a competitor.

  • August 21 · 1 min

    Who's the poor one...

Poor is more of a mindset. Yes, I get it. Not having money sucks. I've been there, too. What's worse is constantly needing more things to try and satisfy something missing from your heart and soul.

  • August 20 · 2 min

    Friend or foe?

People who truly care about you are willing to tell you things that you don't want to hear. If they cheer you on even when you're the problem, they are there for your demise, not your rise.
