Refresh My Memory – Space Camp

To misquote Firefly’s Wash Washburn, “I am a Leaf Phoenix on the wind, watch how I soar!” The year is 1986 and the film Jason Dedrick, Eric Fell and Vicky Van are remembering is Space Camp starring Leaf (soon to be Joaquin) Phoenix. Also there’s a robot called Jinx – not to be confused with the Halle Berry character of the same name. As the hosts talk they are refreshed by a drink called The Little Green Man, made from Brazilian Lemonade, topped off with a splash of Melon liquor. How do make Brazilian Lemonade? Well, first you need to deal with the fact that it’s actually limeade. They also create a tribute drink called The Kate Capshot. Here’s how to make it… Mix a Slurpee/Froster/Icee style drink with soft serve ice cream. Top with an ounce of Southern Comfort. Serve with a small rocket nearby. It’s a drink the producer’s wife tasted and said, “Oh that’s interesting! It’s good. Like milk chocolate.
