We’re exploring what it looks like to love without leaving yourself behind — through relationships, self-trust, reciprocity, obedience, and the Six Pillars of Wealth. Subscribe and journey with us as we learn to love without self-abandonment and honor who we are becoming. Episode Summary In this solo episode, Patrice Washington explores the silent agreements that quietly create resentment in our relationships, friendships, families, and workplaces. These agreements happen when we consistently participate in dynamics we don’t actually want—saying yes when we mean no, carrying responsibilities we resent, giving more than we want to give, or expecting others to understand needs we’ve never clearly communicated. Patrice challenges us to stop asking, “Why do they keep doing this to me?” and instead consider a more revealing question: What have I taught them works for me? Patrice shares how to replace silent agreements with solid agreements built on clarity, consent, capacity, and consistency—with consequences when necessary. The goal isn’t to control someone else’s response; it’s to communicate honestly, observe what they actually have the capacity to give, and use that information to make aligned decisions. Because redefining love requires us to stop expecting people to honor agreements they never made—and stop saying yes with our behavior when everything inside of us is saying no. Questions to Ask Yourself: Where am I feeling resentment because of an expectation I’ve never clearly communicated? What have my actions taught someone else is acceptable or sustainable for me? Where am I expecting someone to “just know” what I need instead of asking for it? What responsibility did I pick up temporarily that has quietly become permanent? What would a solid agreement rooted in clarity, consent, capacity, and consistency look like here? Want to Redefine Wealth for Yourself?
