Episode #221 Naghmeh Taefi Crystal Singing Bowls And Archangelic Light Reiki For Deep Calm

Sound can get you to stillness faster than your mind can argue with it. That’s why we lean into the powerful overlap between Reiki and sound healing, especially for people who are curious but a little nervous about what “energy work” will feel like in their body. We’re joined by Naghmeh Taefi , a Reiki master teacher who blends Usui Reiki with archangelic light Reiki, Celtic Reiki, and crystal singing bowls. We talk about what actually happens in a Reiki session when sound frequencies are involved, how high-vibration bowls can support chakra balancing, and why a sound bath immersion often helps first-timers relax before they understand anything intellectually. Naghmeh Taefi also shares how her science-minded training shapes the way she approaches natural healing, intuition, and client comfort. We also name a big misconception head-on: Reiki energy isn’t coming from the practitioner. We unpack why some practitioners feel “drained,” what ethical teaching looks like in a world full of quick certifications, and how to choose a Reiki master teacher who leads from integrity and a heart-centered place. You’ll also get practical ideas on what to bring to your first sound bath, plus an honest look at learning Reiki online versus in person. To close, Naghmeh offers a short tree grounding meditation that connects roots, breath, and “love and light” in a way you can revisit anytime you need steadiness. Naghmeh is a Reiki & Archangelic Light Master who uses sound bowls to encourage relaxation and healing! Having a science background, she is passionate about bringing together all modalities of healing! Reiki is a universal life force energy transfer by using hands to encourage emotional or physical relief! The Angelic and Archangelic Light Reiki brings in the energy from the angelic realm to further enhance healing. The crystal singing bowls have a high vibrational frequency that can help with balancing chakras. Reiki, facilitated by sound healing creates an experience that brings inner peace and encourages the body to rest and revitalize itself. These sessions allow the mind to become calm and provide more awareness of the body and a deeper connection to the spirit Subscribe, share this with a friend who needs a reset, and leave a review with your biggest question about Reiki or sound healing. Episode #220 Cami Hoang What If Presence Is The Real Success

You can chase the next goal for years and still feel like something is missing, and sometimes the missing piece is not more effort. It is presence. Tracy Searight sits down with Reiki master practitioner Cami Hoang to talk about slowing down in a way that actually works in real life, especially when you are parenting, recovering from burnout, or carrying stress in your body without even noticing it. Cami shares her path as a French-born Canadian of Vietnamese heritage, and how that multicultural lens shapes the way she understands energy healing, intuition, and care. Her turning point comes with motherhood during COVID lockdown, when a tiny “breadcrumb” moment leads her to explore Reiki, Laho Chi, and eventually a deeper practice rooted in calm, connection, and curiosity. We also unpack a big misconception people have about Reiki sessions: if you do not feel dramatic sensations, it must not be working. Cami explains why Reiki can be subtle, why the benefits often show up later, and what real change can look like: deeper sleep, a quieter mind, a kinder reaction, and more patience in the moments that usually trigger you. We get practical about discernment too, including what to look for in a Reiki practitioner or Reiki master teacher, how to research ethically, and why no one belongs on a pedestal. Cami also talks about distance Reiki, why receiving Reiki online can feel surprisingly comforting, and how she is blending Reiki with face yoga to help clients reconnect with their bodies gently. If you have been searching for Reiki for stress relief, mindfulness for moms, or simple tools to slow down, this conversation will meet you where you are. Cami Hoang is a French-born Canadian of Vietnamese heritage, a mother, and a Reiki Master Practitioner. Her work is guided by a simple yet profound belief: that cultivating a little more calm, presence, and connection can make a meaningful difference in everyday life. After several years in the corporate world, motherhood became a turning point that led her to slow down, reconnect with herself, and rediscover the beauty of ordinary moments. Reiki became a natural companion on that journey, not by removing life's challenges, but by offering a different way of meeting them. Cami believes that meaningful change doesn't always happen through big, life-changing moments. Sometimes, it begins with a deeper breath, a quieter mind, or simply taking the time to be fully present. When she's not sharing Reiki, you'll often find her searching for four-leaf clovers, experimenting in the kitchen, discovering new foods, or creating children's stories inspired by mindfulness, kindness, and wonder. She believes that some of life's greatest treasures are often hidden in the moments we slow down enough to notice. Episode #219 Jon Pickell What If Healing Works Better Without Control

Reiki doesn’t need hype, fear, or perfect belief to be meaningful. I sit down with Reiki master teacher John Piquel to talk about what actually builds a strong Reiki practice: time, hands-on experience, integrity, and the willingness to step out of the way so the energy can do what it does. John shares how he stumbled into a Reiki share in Chicago, what it felt like to receive for the first time, and why short sessions can still be powerful when they’re offered with care. We get honest about Reiki misconceptions and the skepticism so many people carry into their first session. John explains why “you have to believe in it” misses the point, and we dig into what clients should look for before getting on a table. If you’ve ever wondered how to choose an ethical Reiki practitioner, we lay out the green flags like humility and a sense of service, along with the red flags like pressure sales, rigid “required” session counts, and fear-based claims about dark attachments. You’ll also hear how Reiki’s public perception has shifted over the last two decades, including its growth in hospitals and integrative medicine settings, plus a moving story about end-of-life Reiki support. John talks about the value of longer training formats, the importance of transparent lineage, and how experiences like space clearing and plant medicine ceremonies influenced his energy work without turning it into performance. Jon Pickell assisting in Peruvian plant medicine ceremony has had a HUGE impact on my work outside of ceremony! I generally have provided hands-on work on 8-15 participants during the ceremony - I am not a shaman, but several people have said my work "feels very shamanic" - If you like thoughtful conversations about Reiki, energy healing, and doing this work with real ethics, subscribe, share this with a friend who’s curious, and leave a review so more people can find the show. Episode #218 Ewa Heard Building A Healing Business Without Hustle Or Burnout

Hustle culture tells healers to post more, push harder, and copy whatever “proven” funnel is trending. But when your work is Reiki, energy healing, or spiritual coaching, forcing yourself into someone else’s system can quietly drain your body, your intuition, and your joy. That’s why this conversation with Ewa Heard hit home for us, because she doesn’t just teach business growth, she lives the shift from grind to alignment. Ewa Heard is a channeler, healer, and creator of the 5D Soul Aligned Business Method, and she shares the real story behind her work: corporate success on paper, clinical depression and anxiety underneath, and the moment purpose changed everything. We talk about what happens when you build a business that looks “right” but feels wrong, how motherhood demanded a new way of working, and why rest and embodiment are not luxuries for energy workers, they’re the foundation of sustainable client attraction. We also dig into the misconceptions that keep spiritually led entrepreneurs stuck, including the belief that money must require burnout, and the trap of collecting certifications while still feeling unclear about who you are. Ewa Heard breaks down her framework for finding your unique purpose, activating soul-given gifts, receiving the wisdom you’re here to share, and choosing strategy that actually fits your energy. If you’ve been wondering whether you really need a website, constant posting, or pressure-based marketing to grow, you’ll love this grounded, practical take. Ewa a mum of two beautiful children, channel, healer, coach, and creator of the 5D Soul-Aligned Business Method™ — a channelled and structured body of work from 5D Consciousness, Abundance Consciousness, and the Pleiadians, revealing how healers and spiritually-led entrepreneurs are truly designed to create wealth and impact with ease, flow, and alignment. My journey began after experiencing clinical depression and anxiety whilst working in a successful corporate career that felt deeply misaligned. Guided by a powerful inner knowing that I was meant for more, I reconnected with my spiritual gifts, channeling abilities, and purpose. Within 3 months, I left my corporate role, and within 6 months, I built a 6-figure healing business whilst working just 1–3 hours a day and raising my children by implementing the 5D Soul-Aligned Business Method™. I disrupt traditional business coaching by challenging outdated 3D business and marketing strategies rooted in hustle, pressure, constant visibility, and fear-based tactics that often leave healers burnt out, energetically drained, and disconnected from their true power. The 5D methodology teaches that every healer and spiritually-led entrepreneur already holds their own unique blueprint for success within them. When this blueprint is revealed, activated, and translated into clear, aligned business structures and strategy, it creates natural abundance, meaningful impact, and financial expansion. I help healers and spiritually-led entrepreneurs step into their power, activate their unique blueprint for success, and build financially abundant businesses through energetic alignment, embodiment, and soul-aligned strategy — without hustle, burnout, or force Subscribe for more Reiki business and energy work conversations, share this with a healer friend who needs encouragement, and leave a review so more practitioners can find the show. Episode #217 Safra Turner From Frontline Soldier To Energy Healer

You can feel it when someone has lived the work, not just studied it. I’m joined by Safra Turner, founder of iHolistica Institute for Holistic Health and Advanced Energetica, and her story is the kind that rewires how you think about Reiki, energy healing, and what it actually means to “heal.” From learning to see energy at 17 to receiving Reiki attunements at 18 while serving as a frontline soldier, Safra Turner has spent nearly three decades walking a path that blends real-world responsibility with spiritual truth. We talk about the misconception that people come to healers because they want healing, when many are really hoping to be fixed without changing. Safra shares why the ones who heal are the ones who choose healing, and why the healer’s role is presence and support, not projecting meaning onto someone’s pain. Tracy also shares her own surgery and recovery experience, and how energy work can support the nervous system, emotions, and mindset alongside practical medical care. Then we go deeper into consciousness studies, natural law, and the Law of One, including Safra’s explanation of base 10 consciousness versus base 12 consciousness and how that shift connects to sovereignty and awakening. You’ll also get a quick grounding practice you can try immediately, plus ways to explore Safra’s educational resources and writing through iHolistica. Safra Turner is the founder of iHolistica, Institute for Holistic Health & Advanced Energetica. She has nearly three decades of experience in holistic healing, emotional transformation, and advanced energetics. Safra helps individuals reclaim their sovereignty, access their innate healing capacity, and awaken perception through practical tools grounded in Universal Law, Base-10 and Base-12 consciousness, and integrative natural therapeutics. Episode #216 Patty Chevalier Montgomery From Classroom Teacher To Reiki Master Teacher

Reiki can sound like a secret club from the outside, and that misunderstanding keeps a lot of people from trying a practice that could genuinely help them feel calmer, clearer, and more connected. I sit down with Patty Chevalier Montgomery, a lifelong elementary educator and Usui Holy Fire®️ III Reiki master teacher, to bring Reiki down to earth, tell the real story of how it shows up, and share what it looks like to live Reiki as a daily way of life. Patty shares a fascinating origin story that starts with a past life regression that nudged her toward teaching, decades of bringing “light” into the classroom, and then a surprising moment where Reiki finally clicks as the missing piece. We talk mentorship, why auditing classes can deepen your skills, and how to choose training and teachers that match your values. We also explore common Reiki misconceptions, like the belief that Reiki is only for “special” people or that it requires a specific religion, and we offer simple analogies and lived experience to make energy healing easier to understand. You’ll also hear about practical tools that support Reiki sessions and Reiki business growth, including self-Reiki, meditation, long distance Reiki on Zoom, integrity in practitioners, and how Patty blends Reiki with angel oracle card readings in an uplifting, client-centered way. Episode #215 Heather Eck Color Healing Through Intuitive Art

Color can be more than decoration. Sometimes it is information, a mirror, and even a kind of medicine. On this Ready Set Reiki journey, we are joined by intuitive artist and writer Heather Eck, with Dina Fortune as our co-guide, to explore what happens when synesthesia, spirituality, and energy healing meet the canvas. Heather shares how she senses people through specific shades, how those aura colors point to emotional blocks, and how she translates that into abstract paintings designed to uplift and restore. We also talk about the real-life turning point behind her work: nearly 20 years in corporate HR, a body pushed too far, and the moment she chose the path that felt restorative instead of impressive. From there we dig into trusting intuitive “downloads,” why creativity can calm the nervous system, and how looking at art or making something with your hands can become a steady practice for wellness. If you’ve ever wondered whether faith and spiritual gifts can belong in the same life, Heather offers a grounded perspective rooted in scripture while still honoring intuition and the chakra-informed language of color healing. Heather Eck is an award-winning abstract fine artist, intuitive healer, and synesthesia practitioner based in Holly Springs, North Carolina. Best known for creating "Spirit Portraits," she uses her unique ability to see emotions and energy as colors to help clients transform their personal narratives through visionary art. You’ll also hear practical takeaways for building a soul-led creative healing business, including why ignoring your own inner signals is the fastest way to build something you hate. Heather closes with a simple experiment: look at what colors you keep wearing, because your wardrobe might be telling you what your spirit needs next. Episode #214 Gloria ‘Grace”Rand Rebuilding Confidence With Energy Healing After 50

You can feel a life change coming before you can explain it and that’s where energy work gets real. Tracy sits down with returning guest Gloria “Grace “Rand, founder of Radiant on Purpose, to talk about Reiki, light language, and the courage it takes to stop dimming yourself for other people’s comfort. We get honest about what it means to be visible, especially when your path looks “different,” and why the universe sometimes nudges you from behind-the-scenes into the spotlight. Gloria breaks down light language in a grounded way: a multidimensional, heart-led frequency that can be spoken, sung, or expressed through movement, often arriving in “dialects” that feel familiar to the receiver. We also talk about Reiki as a practical support system, not just a spiritual concept, including how Reiki circles can help you move grief, soften emotional overload, and bring you back to balance when life hits hard. Along the way, we unpack a common misconception that trips people up: thinking Reiki is only something you receive from someone else, instead of a skill you can learn and use for self-care. Midlife empowerment is a core theme, with a special focus on women over 50 who are done being told they are past their prime. Gloria shares her signature L O V E method: Let Go And Let God, Open Your Heart To Receive, Value Your Uniqueness, and Embrace Your Divinity, plus the mindset behind pivots, reinvention, and building confidence one decision at a time. If you’re craving clarity, purpose, and a deeper relationship with your intuition, this conversation offers a steady place to start. Gloria “Grace” Rand is the founder of Radiant On Purpose, guiding mission-driven women over 50 to live life on their terms. A bestselling author, certified high-performance speaker, and podcaster, Grace blends her signature L.O.V.E. Method with intuitive coaching and energy healing to rebuild confidence and reignite purpose from within. Special Bronwen Logan and Mary Riposo New Clues About Mikao Usui Are Changing How We Teach Reiki

The fastest way to start a fight online about Reiki is to ask a simple question and watch as answers turn into attack. Ready Set Reiki hope is for a calmer, smarter path, one where we can respect all systems all images and all schools of Reiki . Ready Set reiki invited two true way showers; Bronwen Logan of Reiki With Bronwen and Mary Riposo of Infinite Light Center. Together, we name what is actually happening beneath the noise: widespread Reiki misconceptions, fuzzy definitions, and an “identity crisis” that shows up when people confuse Reiki the practice with “Reiki the energy,” or when they treat a Reiki session like something a practitioner does to you instead of a practice you share and embody. We also dig into why Reiki history matters right now. Bronwyn explains why new primary source material, including a handwritten 1904 CV from Mikao Usui, is so exciting and so stabilizing. When fresh evidence appears, it can confirm parts of the story, challenge other parts, and push us to teach with more care. That is not trivia, it is ethics. If we want Reiki training to be credible and clear, we cannot keep repeating claims that misrepresent the system or inflate it into something medical. Staying relevant is part of staying honest. Then we bring it into the modern world: distance Reiki, online Reiki classes, and what real access looks like. Mary shares why her entire practice is remote now, why live teaching on Zoom can be deeply supportive, and how it can serve students who cannot travel or who need safety and privacy. We close by asking a grounded question: if Usui were here today, would he be disgusted or would he hand us the precepts and ask us to practice them. Bronwen Logan, also known as Bronwen Stiene, is an educator in the Japanese art of Reiki, as well as a writer, an animal lover, a thinker, a podcaster, a feminist, and a catalyst for spiritual and personal empowerment. With 25 years of teaching experience and counting, Bronwen’s teachings extend beyond the conventional, inviting you to explore the deeper, transformative elements of the system of Reiki. Bronwen’s interests include studying meditation from a variety of cultural influences, writing about her spiritual experiences from a philosophical and practical perspective, discovering more about the importance of Japanese culture and philosophy in the system of Reiki, embodying the role of women in the healing arts, supporting the wellbeing of animals through healing work and more. A driving force in the Reiki community, Bronwen co-founded both the International House of Reiki and Shibumi International Reiki Association. She’s the co-author of respected works such as The Reiki Sourcebook, The Japanese Art of Reiki, and Your Reiki Treatment. Her extensive publications and teaching materials have been a cornerstone for students globally, offering guidance that blends scholarly accuracy with heart-centred intuition. Bronwen’s soothing voice has guided many through Reiki audiobooks, blogs and a wide range of meditations and web classes. Always focused on her students’ well-being, Bronwen supports her work with certifications in Teaching Training and Assessment, TEFLA, Senior First Aid, and Counseling. Living in Australia’s countryside, Bronwen teaches and offers treatments in the tranquil setting of Tomah Retreat in the Blue Mountains. Here, she has created a haven for the many rescue animals in her life and a venue for students to come and stay and study. Bronwen is equally at home in the realm of virtual healing for those who can’t make the journey to Tomah Retreat. Her online courses include regular weekly, bi-weekly and monthly classes for students of her Reiki world, Reiki with Bronwen. Mary Riposo Mary is a Reiki Master practitioner, teacher, author, and coach who found Reiki after suffering from a number of mystery illnesses that didn’t respond to Western medicine. She had such a positive response that she decided to learn Reiki herself and share it with others. Mary ran Infinite Light Center with her husband, Tony, from 2013 to 2021, where she directed the Reiki Program. After the physical location closed in 2021, Mary began practicing exclusively online, offering sessions, workshops, mentoring & classes in all levels of Usui/Holy Fire® Reiki and ICRT Animal Reiki. Episode #212 Tracy Searight; How surgery Reframed My Reiki Path

Tracy Searight shares her journey with a recent Hip replacement surgery. Years of Yoga and not listening to the whispers of her body Someone told my daughter, “I heard your mother is falling apart,” and it hit me in a place I didn’t expect. Six weeks after a right hip replacement, I can finally name what’s really happening: I’m not falling apart, I’m being put back together. This is a solo, deeply personal Ready Set Reiki story about what it looks like when your body forces a pause and your spirit has to catch up. I walk you through the long arc, from a passionate yoga practice and the ways I didn’t listen to my body, to the grief that cracked my life open after losing my sister and later my father. Reiki energy healing, prayer, and a steady relationship with God become daily tools for stress relief, emotional regulation, and trust, especially when life requires big pivots like moving, starting over at 50, and letting go of opportunities I’d been manifesting for years. We also get real about a question many people whisper: if you “do Reiki,” should you ever need surgery, medication, or physical therapy? I share why ethical Reiki never replaces medical care, why practitioners don’t diagnose, and how energy work can support recovery without magical thinking. Finally, I break down how to navigate the growing world of Reiki systems and Reiki training with research, transparency, and respect for lineage so you can choose what fits your healing journey. Tracy Searight At the age 5 knew she had the heart of a teacher and a mother. These two passions were her driving force through majority of her life. In 2006 she connected with Yoga and it became a beautiful love affair. Pushing her body and not listening to the whispers of her body Tracy used Yoga to move through the most challenging and painful parts of her life. Genetics, life and wear and tear she found herself four years ago with a tear as she was a student in a yoga class. The x-ray in the Surgeon’s office told of two decades worth of damage. At the top of her game, she had to make a decision. Do I pause to heal or do I push through and keep going? Wife, mother, fur mom, teacher, yoga teacher, Reiku master, author, podcast, and host of the TV show Laughing light Worker Tracy shares her journey what may look like falling apart to others was just a matter of her finally coming together. Episide #211 Jessie Rudi, PhD, Reiki Master Why Reiki Sometimes Brings Tears And Clarity

Reiki has a reputation for being all calm, cozy, and bliss, but what happens when a session brings tears, big realizations, or a total shift in how you see your life? I sit down with Jessie Rudi, PhD, a Reiki master teacher, mentor, and founder of Clearly Connected Healing, to talk about the real lived experience of Reiki and energy healing, especially for sensitive people who have spent years carrying what isn’t theirs. Jessie Rudi, PhD, Reiki Master shares how Reiki “found” her in 2023, why her first session felt like coming home to her own energy, and how that moment opened a surprising path of self-discovery. We unpack common Reiki misconceptions, including the idea that every Reiki session is rainbows and relaxation, and why emotional release can be exactly what the nervous system needs to downregulate and reset. We also talk about being an empath, energetic boundaries, and why energetic hygiene matters so you don’t finish a day of client work feeling depleted. For anyone balancing family life, a day job, or the pressure to “do it the right way,” Jessie Rudi, offers practical, doable self-Reiki habits: quick morning scans, hands on heart, a Reiki shower, and the simple phrase “Reiki, be with me.” We also get into slowing down as a spiritual practice, how to tell when something is yours versus the collective, and what it looks like to grow a grounded Reiki business with integrity. Jessie Rudi, recommends two standout reads for Reiki practitioners and empaths and shares how she’s expanding her work to support babies, kids, and parents through big life transitions. Jessie Rudi, PhD is a Reiki Master, teacher, mentor, energy practitioner, and founder of Clearly Connected Healing based in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Episode #210 Jayne Goodsir Reclaiming Reiki Through Spiritual Sovereignty

Reiki can be life-changing, it can also come with rules that make you second-guess yourself. I’m joined by Jayne Goodsir , a reclamation mentor and spiritual visionary based in Scotland, to talk about what happens when Reiki training leaves people with more questions than clarity and how to find your way back to authentic connection. We get into spiritual sovereignty, why “permission-based” Reiki culture can quietly strip practitioners of confidence, and how to hold respect for tradition without turning it into dogma. Jayne Goodsirshares why she stopped relying on hierarchy and started building a spirit-led Reiki approach rooted in direct connection, discernment, and what feels coherent in real life. We also unpack common controversies with nuance: attunements, online training, distance Reiki, and why different lineages can coexist without turning into battles. Then we go practical. If you’ve ever felt drained after a client session, Jayne Goodsir explains energetic bleed and the difference between using your personal energy versus letting universal life force energy do the work. We talk energetic hygiene, the hollow bone state, and why nervous system regulation is often the missing foundation behind boundaries, intuition, and sustainable energy work. Jayne is a Reiki Reclamation Mentor & Spiritual Visionary. She supports qualified and aspiring Reiki practitioners to reclaim authentic connection through Spiritual sovereignty, as opposed to hierarchy, dogma and rigid structures, inside her online Spirit-led Reiki Pathway. Episode #209 Wesley Elliott: What If Your Body Already Knows The Way

Your body is not ignoring your affirmations, it’s protecting you. When your nervous system is stuck in fight or flight, “trying harder” with your mind can feel like using the wrong tool for the job, and that’s where Reiki and somatic healing can finally click together in a grounded way. We’re joined by Wesley Elliott, founder of Ahó Healing Arts in Plano, Texas, to talk about what changed when Reiki found him during a personal turning point and why he now blends energy work with bodywork and nervous system awareness. Wesley breaks down the biggest misconceptions he hears about Reiki and energy healing, including the idea that the mind and body are separate or that Reiki is only relaxation. We explore what it looks like when healing becomes participatory, where the client’s own awareness and readiness matter as much as the practitioner’s skill. Then we dig into transpersonal somatic therapy, the modality Wesley co-created, combining physical touch, somatic awareness, intuitive guidance, and energetic awareness in one consent-based, trauma-aware approach. We also cover practical guidance for choosing a Reiki practitioner or Reiki master teacher, why presence and humility are non-negotiable, and what to expect when you’re building confidence and trying to turn Reiki into a real profession. Along the way, we touch on lineage-based patterns, community healing spaces, and accessible resources like free classes and self-guided tools. Wesley Elliott is a visionary healer, teacher, and space holder devoted to guiding individuals and communities through deep, embodied transformation. As Co-Founder of Ahó Healing Arts and Co-Creator of Transpersonal Somatic Therapy®, Wesley weaves together somatic intelligence, energetic awareness, and transpersonal insight to support healing at the level of mind, body, and spirit. With extensive training and lived experience, Wesley’s work focuses on helping clients recognize and unwind inherited patterns, release stored emotional and energetic imprints, and reconnect with their innate capacity for self-healing. As an Epigenetic Pattern Specialist, he supports clients in bringing awareness to subconscious and lineage-based patterns, facilitating integration through grounded, trauma-aware, and consent-based practices. A Reiki Master and Teacher, Wesley has guided countless individuals through energetic attunement, nervous system regulation, and embodied presence. His sessions and teachings are known for their depth, clarity, and ability to create lasting shifts without bypassing the human experience. In addition to his clinical and ceremonial work, Wesley is a keynote speaker and mentor for practitioners and leaders called to serve others. Through mentorship, education, and lived example, he supports the next generation of healers in building ethical, sustainable, and soul-aligned practices. Wesley’s work is rooted in integrity, embodiment, and remembrance—honoring ancient wisdom while remaining grounded in the realities of modern life. Episode #208 Andrea Ochitwa What If Calm Is A Skill You Can Train

Crisis work changes your body, even when you’re “fine” on the outside. Andrea Ochitwaspent nearly two decades in emergency communications supporting people through high-stress, life-changing moments, and eventually had to step away due to occupational PTSD. We sit down together to talk about what recovery really demands: time, nervous system awareness, and tools that help you feel safe inside your own skin again. Andrea shares how Reiki found her twice, first through an unexpected table session that opened the floodgates of release, and later through formal Reiki training that helped her rebuild steadiness and trust. We unpack common misconceptions about Reiki (yes, including the “religion or cult” assumptions), and we get honest about what ethical Reiki practice should look like: confidentiality, consent, non-judgment, transparent training, and clear boundaries that include referring out for counseling or medical care when needed. Then we go somewhere you might not expect: Reiki in photography. Andrea explains how self-Reiki helps her enter animal spaces grounded and calm, how she asks permission before offering Reiki, and how that respectful energy can support domesticated animals and even wildlife. We also cover practical regulation strategies you can use today, from breathwork and nature to meditation styles that actually fit your nervous system. Andrea is a Calgary-based wellness facilitator, meditation teacher, and Reiki Master with nearly two decades of experience in emergency communications with the local police service. Through her work in emergency services, Andrea developed a deep understanding of stress, trauma, and how chronic pressure affects the nervous system. This experience eventually led her to pursue training in meditation, energy healing, and trauma-informed wellness practices. Today, Andrea combines her background in crisis support with holistic wellness approaches to help people reconnect with calm and balance. Her work includes guided meditation sessions, mindful creativity workshops, Reiki sessions, and nature-based wellness experiences. Andrea is passionate about creating safe and supportive environments where people can slow down, reduce stress, and nurture their wellbeing. Episode #207 Ren Oberhill Reiki Meets Real Life Healing

You can do years of “good” personal work and still feel like something is missing, especially when healing stays stuck in your head. That’s why this conversation lands so deeply: we sit down with Ren Oberhill, a licensed counselor and experienced energy practitioner, to explore what changes when Reiki becomes part of real-world healing and not just a separate add-on. We talk about growing up sensitive and intuitive, learning to shut that down when it didn’t feel safe, and how that same drive to understand people led Ren into counseling, academia, and private practice. Over time, she noticed many clients could explain their patterns perfectly, yet still felt unintegrated and unembodied. Adding Reiki and spiritual attunement brought a different kind of progress: less strain in the room, more compassion, and a nervous system that can finally settle enough to transform. We also get practical about Reiki misconceptions and Reiki safety. What do you do with the fear that “Reiki can harm you”? How do you choose a Reiki practitioner who holds a safe field? We dig into consent, touch boundaries, intakes, and why no healer should act like the authority over your life. Ren also shares her go-to stress relief tools for helpers, plus book recommendations on empaths, intuition, mindfulness, and complex trauma. Ren is a licensed Counselor and Energy Practitioner with over 18 years of experience walking alongside individuals through healing and life transitions. She is deeply passionate about supporting both people and animals, creating intentional spaces where clients can slow down, reconnect, and listen to their inner wisdom. Her work centers around Holistic Clarity Sessions, which blend Reiki, hypnotherapy, body-based awareness, and intuitive practices. Ren’s approach is grounded in safety, autonomy, and attunement—allowing each session to unfold at a pace that honors the client’s nervous system and spirit. Through Reiki, she supports deep relaxation, emotional clarity, and a reconnection to one’s inner knowing. Ren has been studying and practicing Usui and Angelic Reiki for over three years and is Animal Reiki Certified through the International Center for Reiki Training (ICRT). She continues to deepen her practice through ongoing education and devotion to her craft. Ren’s work was recently recognized in Reiki News Magazine, where her article, “The Ways Reiki Enhanced My Therapy Practice,” was published in the Spring 2026 issue. At the heart of Ren’s philosophy is the belief that healing should empower—not create dependency. Her work is intentionally short-term and alignment-based, helping clients build trust in themselves so they can move forward with clarity, confidence, and self-trust. She believes that many of the struggles people face stem from a core wound around not feeling safe to be fully themselves, and her work gently supports the restoration of balance across mind, body, and spirit. Ren is devoted to helping others reconnect with their gifts, their purpose, and their joy. Episode # 206 May Yeary From Autoimmune Struggle To Reiki Based Healing

Reiki is one of those things people love to argue about until they actually experience it. I sit down with Reiki Master , May Yeary certified integrative health coach who found Reiki by accident, resisted it at first, then watched it transform both her personal life and the way she helps clients heal. May shares her real world health story, including autoimmune struggles in her early 20s, the frustration of being dismissed, and the patience it took to reach remission. From there, we get into what brought her into energy work and why Reiki became a turning point for stress reduction, emotional healing, and feeling “clear” enough to take healthy action. We also talk about how Reiki can support the nervous system, why some people notice changes without long conversations, and what “cleaning house” can look like in daily life. We also address the misconceptions: claims that Reiki is witchcraft, satanic, or a cult, plus the gatekeeping that can show up even among practitioners. If you’ve ever wondered how to pick a Reiki practitioner, we cover what matters most, why a discovery call can save you time, and the simple but important test of whether you feel safe and supported. May Yeary is a Reiki Master and Certified Integrative Health Coach devoted to helping others heal on every level, mind, body, and spirit. Blending energy work with integrative health practices, she creates a deeply supportive space for transformation. Her path began through her own experience with autoimmune issues in her early twenties, now in remission, which awakened her calling to guide others back to vitality, alignment, and inner power. Episode #205 Liana Zee How A Las Vegas Hairdresser Uses Reiki To Help Clients Reset

Your hair appointment can be more than beauty maintenance. When someone is working around your head, listening closely, and helping you feel like yourself again, there’s already an energy exchange happening and most of us can feel it even if we don’t have a name for it. That’s why I invited Liana Zee a Las Vegas hairdresser and Holy Fire Reiki Level 2 practitioner, to share how she blends Reiki and hairdressing inside her private Henderson space, L Energy Salon and Reiki Studio. We talk honestly about the biggest misconception she hears: “You believe in Reiki?” Liana breaks it down in a grounded way Reiki isn’t a religion and it isn’t reserved for one type of person. You don’t have to believe in anything specific to benefit, but you do have to be open to receiving. From first-time Reiki experiences that feel warm and emotional to sessions that are subtle but deeply calming, we explore why people often walk out feeling balanced, steady, and like a weight finally lifted. We also get practical about your healing journey: letting go of control, learning to trust intuition, and choosing a Reiki practitioner or Reiki teacher you genuinely feel safe with. If you’re curious about mixing energy work with your current career, Liana shares advice on learning the structure, then finding your own authentic way of working. She also points to resources like What The Bleep Do We Know and the value of Reiki circles and community support. a hairdresser with over 20 years of experience and a Holy Fire III Usui Reiki 2 practitioner on the path to becoming Master. Working behind the chair has always been about connection for me—holding space for people, listening, and helping them feel like their best selves. That natural connection with people eventually led me to energy work. I now run L Energy Salon & Reiki studio in Henderson, where I combine my passion for helping people look and feel their best—both physically and energetically. My work is centered around creating a safe, supportive space where people can relax, reset, and reconnect with themselves. Nancy Welch How Reiki Supports Pets And Their People Through Change

Your animal isn’t a passive client, they’re an active participant with preferences, boundaries, and surprisingly clear opinions. We sit down with Nancy Welsh, a Reiki master specializing in animal Reiki, to unpack what actually changes when you stop treating pets like tiny humans and start honoring consent, safety, and choice. We share stories from real sessions, including why animals often want only a few minutes of Reiki, how they “ask” for energy in their own language, and what it means to offer Reiki without overwhelming a cage, tank, or room. From there, we go deeper into the emotional side of the work. Nancy opens up about grief, self-love, and the heavy feeling so many pet guardians carry after a transition: I didn’t do enough. We talk about caretaker fatigue, forgiveness, and why validating pet loss grief matters when the world tries to minimize it. We also address behavioral euthanasia, the judgment that can surround it, and the need for supportive spaces like the Losing Lulu community for guardians and animal professionals. We also get practical about choosing a Reiki practitioner, the role of intuitive healing, and why distance Reiki can be a game changer for anxious pets who do best at home. If you’re searching for Reiki for pets, animal communication adjacent insights, or compassionate end-of-life support, this conversation offers grounded guidance and real comfort. If it resonates, subscribe, share with a fellow pet lover, and leave a review so more people can find this kind of support. You can’t see energy, so how do you know Reiki and energy healing are doing anything at all? I sit down with Tania Ho, an intuitive soul guide and the founder of Museflower Retreat and Spa in Thailand, to get practical about what energy work feels like, why people doubt it, and how you can test it through experience instead of trying to “prove” it with perfect logic. Episode #202 Lorena Rodrigo What If Your Body Is Asking You To Listen

Reiki can arrive in the most unexpected places and sometimes at the hardest time of your life. I’m joined by Lorena Rodrigo, a Reiki master, yoga teacher, and sound meditation practitioner based in the UK, whose path shifted when she received Reiki in the hospital during breast cancer treatment. She shares what it felt like to go into chemotherapy with Reiki support, why it helped her reconnect to her own energy, and how that experience turned into a lifelong commitment to deep listening and real presence. We also get honest about the messy parts of the wellness world. Lorena and I talk about common Reiki misconceptions, why you don’t need “special powers” to practice energy healing, and how to spot green flags in a Reiki practitioner or teacher. If you’ve ever felt put off by labels, gatekeeping, or performative spirituality, you’ll appreciate her grounded take: find what you resonate with, trust your intuition, and choose practitioners who feel sincere and safe. In our listener Q and A, we dig into sound healing and the nervous system, including how vibration can influence the vagus nerve, support the parasympathetic “rest and digest” response, and help the brain shift into meditative states through entrainment. Lorena also shares her go-to practices for overwhelm, her commitment to daily self-Reiki, favorite instruments, plus how to find her work, trainings, and retreat offerings. Lorena Rodrigo is a Reiki Master and guide of sound and stillness — a certified Sound Meditation Guide and teacher of Anusara, Yin, Pregnancy and Restorative Yoga, based in Reading, UK. Her work is devoted to the art of listening as a pathway into presence, attunement and subtle awareness. Rooted in Reiki mastery, Lorena approaches vibration as a universal language — waves of resonance moving through the vast ocean of consciousness. Through this lens, her offerings invite participants to experience sound not only as something heard, but as something deeply felt, creating space for the body, mind and energy field to settle into natural harmony. Through an intuitive weaving of breath, gentle movement and sound, Lorena creates immersive and nurturing spaces that encourage deep rest and inward exploration. Her sound meditations unfold as sensory journeys where time softens and awareness expands. Drawing on the rich overtones of gongs, crystal and Tibetan singing bowls, harp, shamanic drums, rain sticks and voice, Lorena guides participants through layers of vibration that support nervous system regulation, inner clarity and profound stillness — inviting each person to listen to the subtle tides moving within and around them.
