Welcome to the 51st episode of David & Stu… Unhinged! As always, we'd like to thank Clara Wang for creating the fantastic artwork for this podcast. During this episode, David & Stu will be celebrating a year of podcasting by recording a video of this week's episode as a special treat for our listeners. And for those who are displeased with some of our comments, you'll know what we look like so you can pelt rocks and garbage at us if you see us on the mean streets of Greenwich Village. The topics this week will include the following: 1) To commemorate our 50th episode, David decided to take Stu's admonishment to be more positive. He decided to discuss his top five hatreds, which was hard for him to narrow down because he has no shortage of them. 2) Stu decided once again to venture out of his pristine bubble and went to the Bronx for a fine dining experience at 188 Bakery Cuchifritos, which was listed on a New York Times list of best restaurants. Stu recounts his meal as well as the greeting he received for not fitting the mold of the restaurant's usual clientele. 3) We shift gears to the NYC mayoral race and the blockbuster article in the NY Times that exposed Mamdani for claiming he was black on his college application to Columbia so that he could take advantage of the admission preferences at the time. Apparently, being born in Uganda didn't make him African American, and it certainly doesn't bolster his claims to be a corruption fighter and a breath of fresh air, particularly when he has claimed throughout his public life that he is South Asian and Muslim. 4) The Texas flood was a tragic natural disaster that took the lives of many young people who were full of promise and trying to enjoy summer camp. What adds further dimension to this sad story is the sorry state of the Federal response because of reckless DOGE cuts, irresponsible environmental policies, and incompetent agency heads, most notably ICE Barbie, Kristi Noem. Welcome to the 50th episode of David & Stu… Unhinged! As always, we'd like to thank Clara Wang for creating the fantastic artwork for this podcast. We also lament the empty feeling we have about July 4th, when our country is heading down a negative path and is led by disgraceful and crude leaders. Along with that, the following topics are covered: 1) In an effort to uplift our spirits on July 4th, Stu recounts how a Vietnam veteran, Kim Bowlin, played taps at the gravesite of his buddy who perished in Vietnam. 2) The mood shifts greatly to the electoral victory of Zohran Mamdani as the Democratic candidate for NYC Mayor. His youthful appeal got many NYC nepo babies to the polls who were enraptured by his innumerable antisemitic comments as well as offers of socialist freebies. Even more disgraceful, two Jewish NYC Democratic politicians, Brad Lander and Jerrold Nadler, endorsed Mamdani, betraying Jewish Americans. 3) The story of Deacon Richard Pryor, who thwarted a crazed shooter in Michigan and prevented him from going on a shooting spree. If he had been in some liberal jurisdiction, Pryor might have been brought up on murder charges, as Daniel Penny was here in NYC by fat Alvin Bragg. 4) The episode concludes with a discussion of the Big Beautiful Bill's passage and the massive deficit spending this will cause, which has spurred Elon Musk to reignite his feud with Trump. In this episode, David and Stu cover the following: 1) The murder of Doris Warrell and how her husband was finally apprehended 20 years later after he fled the country to Costa Rica with the nanny and his two children. 2) How Karen Read was acquitted of murdering her boyfriend, a police officer, in Boston after the first trial was ruled a mistrial, and the sloppy and unprofessional investigation by detectives investigating the death of one of their own. 3) Stu’s encounters with panhandlers on NYC streets, one of whom admitted to him that he wasn't really a veteran, and that it was just a "gig" after Stu questioned his military background. 4) How a shady real estate investor, Shepard (Shep) Morgan, is converting a commercial hotel, the Larchmont, into a homeless shelter on a historically landmarked street (West 11th Street) in Greenwich Village in exchange for generous tax exemptions and city funds for the shelter. We also discuss how Elizabeth Street Garden was saved from demolition for low-income housing, and how progressives are not pleased by this because the park is managed privately yet open to the public. Mark Stanton-Kelly is a London-based fight coordinator, stunt performer and lead stunt double with all-round on-set experience and skills. Mark is experienced and known for his ability to shoot and edit previz for feature films and television. He has a varied background in martial arts, is experienced in actor training and teaching fight choreography. Among the numerous productions Mark has coordinated fights for are Black Mirror, The Agency, Meg 2: The Trench, Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania and the upcoming Cliffhanger. As a previz shooter Mark has worked on Gangs of London and Treadstone. We also discuss new reports of his extensive drug use and erratic behavior. 3) We revisit the topic of the Tulsa massacre and how the new Mayor has established a Trust which will accept funds to address the damage and death caused by this tragedy. In doing this, the Mayor refused to label this as "reparations." 4) We end with a discussion of Patti LuPone's interview with the New Yorker magazine, where she trashed other Broadway stars with whom she has had prior disagreements, which caused an onslaught of criticism. Patti's behavior establishes that she is not really a Diva, but more of a bitter old bitch. On this episode, we acknowledge Clara's 26th birthday, the young woman who designed the artwork for this podcast as well as some comments about previous episodes from our audience, some of whom gave us an earful once again about the use of the "r" word and it isn't woke to be offended by this "ugly" terminology. In addition, we will cover the following topics: 1) A few anecdotes about ships crashing as well as some ingenious ship designs that Stu observed sitting on a bench in Red Hook, Brooklyn, home to IKEA. Of course, the ship was designed by an Italian. 2) An Italian crypto millionaire, Michael Valentino Teofrasto Carturan, was kidnapped and tortured in a Soho Townhouse by other crypto bros, John Woeltz and William Duplesse, who wanted him to give up his passcodes for his crypto accounts. This story is a reflection of some of the shady characters involved in crypto, most notably the Trump family. 3) The tragic death of a promising 18-year-old woman, Ava Moore, in a boating accident where two illegal Venezuelan immigrants crashed into her Kayak with a jet ski in a Texas lake and caused her fatal head injury. 4) Trump's pardons of tax cheats and fraudsters, Paul Walczak and reality stars Todd and Julie Christy. It is truly appalling how Trump has abused his right to pardon in exchange for cash or fealty. His antics are so unethical he makes the rapist Bill Clinton look like a boy scout and clearly reinforced the need to consider means to limit the President's right to pardon. 45: Dirty Old Men, Biden's Prostate, Prison Break, & Handy Andy's and the Weiner's Return Welcome to episode forty-five of David & Stu… Unhinged! In this episode, David and Stu cover the following: 1) The May-December romances of David Geffen and Bill Belichick with companions 50 years younger. In Geffen's case, his relationship with his 32-year-old husband ended tragically in divorce, while Belichick's romance with a 24-year-old woman who he met "online" is blossoming like spring flowers. 2) Biden's very convenient announcement that he has been diagnosed with Stage 4 prostate cancer that has metastasized to his bones and how it was merely announced now to create sympathy and distraction from all the reports about his declining physical and mental state while President including how his aides thought he may need a wheelchair during a possible second term. 3) Authorities discovered the prison break that occurred in New Orleans by ten violent felons a day after their escape. This was a spectacular failure of the prison authorities, who apparently don't need liberal bail reform like we have in New York, which emptied the jails of violent criminals who terrorize New Yorkers. 4) The NYC Mayoral Primary and the potential return of Handy Andy Cuomo, whose record as governor was nothing short of disastrous, most notably his COVID policies that resulted in the death of scores of elderly in nursing homes. We also discuss the other candidates, including progressive Zohran Mamdani, who refused to support a resolution acknowledging Holocaust Memorial Day. Another pervert, like Andy, is also attempting a comeback and is running for city council: Anthony Weiner, who sent pictures of his weiner to underage girls and ended up in jail. The entire event is a disgrace, and Ms. Wintour deserves a long overdue cancellation. 4) A story of a baseball underdog, JC Escarra, who made it onto the Yankees at age 30 through persistence and grit. This uplifting story is at least one example of some positivity in a very dark period of American history. In this episode, David and Stu cover the following: 1) The Audubon Society, an organization Stu supports, awarded Jane Fonda for her environmental work, which caused Stu to boycott the event and consider a protest against her due to her traitorous behavior during the Vietnam War. 2) Trump's insulting and outrageous proposal to rename Veterans Day, which was greeted with consternation by those who served their country in the military, unlike Trump, who evaded service by claiming he had bone spurs like the cowardly nepo baby he is. 3) The election of Mike Carney as Prime Minister in Canada. Carney is a far-left candidate, and the conservative was expected to win. Instead, due to a Trump backlash over his calls for annexation, the Canadians revolted, indicating how weak Trump's influence is globally. Similar electoral results occurred in Australia, indicating how poorly the MAGA brand sells internationally, unlike Reagan, who brought his revolution to the world and won the Cold War. 4) The ridiculous proposal by Trump to repurpose Alcatraz as a federal prison when it is basically in ruins and would require rebuilding and probably would be impractical to operate. This is another stunt that further indicates how weak his presidential leadership has been. 5) Cardinal Robert Francis Prevost, an American, was chosen as the new Pope Leo XIV, and he is not conservative either. In fact, he had previously condemned Trump's and JD Piglet's immigration policies. Meanwhile, Trump disrespected Catholic tradition at Francis' funeral and then posted an AI image of himself as Pope. Imagine what the liberal elite media would have done if he had posted himself as MLK or Mohammad.
