Sintonía del programa: No brain rock'n'roll (Hombre Lobo Internacional) Autor: Tony Devildog Producción: Tomás Cowabunga En el episodio de junio nos hemos desplazado a mediados de los años 60 en los Estados Unidos, para sumergirnos en algunos de las más crudas, primitivas y viscerales bandas de garage alumbradas en aquellos años. Entre los años 1964 y 1967/68 miles de chavales americanos formaron grupos en sus pueblos, o en los suburbs de grandes ciudades, trataron de emular a sus nuevos ídolos brtiánicos, las bandas de la british invasion encabezadas por los Stones, los Yardbirds, Them, Pretty Things, Kinks, y el rhythm & blues y el rock'n'roll negro de raíces (Bo Diddley, Muddy Waters, Chuck Berry, Little Richard,...), el rock'n'roll blanco, el surf, la psicodelia temprana,..., una amalgama de influencias que las mentes revoltosass de estos teenegares recogieron a su manera y pulieron en sus ensayos en garajes, sótanos y centros parroquiales para grabar en la mayoría de los casos apenas uno o dos singles, y desaparecieron sin dejar apenas rastro. Hemos seleccionado temas de una época en la que bastaban tres acordes, una guitarra con fuzz y una frustración adolescente para dejar una pequeña huella en la historia. Pero aquellas grabaciones sobrevivieron porque eran auténticas, y eso lo es todo, amigos.
