Set in South Orange County, California, the series follows a high school competitive improv team fighting to win a major competition, overcome their personal struggles, and save their drama department. Inspired by the coming-of-age films of John Hughes and the emotional depth of Cameron Crowe, Punch The Line blends heart, humor, friendship, rivalry, romance, and the unpredictable energy of live improv. Roland previously wrote and directed the independent feature film EXEMPLUM, shot during the COVID-19 pandemic for just $10,000.
