He completed general surgery residency at Yale University, followed by plastic surgery fellowship training at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. He subsequently joined the Vanderbilt faculty, where he contributed extensively to resident education and clinical research, and held leadership roles including Vice Chair of Clinical Affairs. In 2026, Dr. Kassis transitioned from Vanderbilt to private practice at Kassis Salameh Plastic Surgery, bringing more than a decade of academic surgical experience to his aesthetic and reconstructive practice.
