Welcome to PQ for Christians, a global podcast exploring the intersection of Positive Intelligence (PQ) and Christian spirituality. This podcast brings together believers from 82 countries and territories (and counting) across a variety of Christian traditions to engage in a transformative journey of mental fitness, faith, and personal renewal.

Each episode unpacks how PQ's framework aligns with biblical principles, supporting Christians to move beyond self-sabotaging thoughts and embrace a renewed mind in Christ (Romans 12:2). Through deep conversations, personal insights, and practical applications, we explore themes of:

Renewing the mind – Overcoming fear, doubt, and judgment through faith and mental fitness
Living in the True Self – Identifying and healing saboteurs while embracing your God-given identity
Bridging faith and neuroscience – Exploring how spiritual growth and cognitive science work together
A global Christian conversation – Uniting believers from diverse backgrounds in a shared journey

Christlike living – Applying PQ insights to ministry, relationships, and daily life

Whether you're a Christian leader, coach, or someone seeking a stronger, more resilient faith, this podcast invites you into a supportive and inclusive space where transformation happens. Join the conversation and discover how mental fitness and faith can reshape your life, leadership, and walk with God.

PQ for Christians is proudly sponsored by The Center for Biblical Coaching and Leadership (TCBCL)—equipping believers and leaders with biblically centered coaching and leadership training for personal, organizational, and church renewal.

You Can Look In The Mirror Without Shame

The hardest part of personal or spiritual growth is not learning a new tool or practice. It’s facing what the tool or practice reveals and staying with God long enough to be changed by what we see. That’s the heart of this gathering from PQ for Christians, a community built to integrate Positive Intelligence coaching with Christian faith in a way that feels honest, compassionate, and spiritually grounded. We open with grace guidelines that honor diverse Christian backgrounds and invite us to let discomfort be part of transformation rather than something to avoid. From there, we move into a guided contemplation focused on “the mirror and the door,” drawing from James’s image of seeing ourselves clearly. We talk about noticing without fixing, releasing shame, and letting God meet us in stillness. As the conversation unfolds, we name familiar saboteur patterns like Hyperachiever, Controller, and Pleaser, then challenge the subtle spiritual stories they can create, including “pleaser theology” and defensiveness toward God. The result is a shift from striving to receiving, from resentment to love, and from anxious performance to real presence. We also get practical about discouragement. What if the wall you hit is not proof you’re failing, but an invitation God has set up to grow you? You’ll hear stories about discerning which “door” is truly yours, stepping into uncomfortable callings, and releasing the pressure of trying to open other people’s doors for them. We end with a simple, powerful practice the group now calls the sacred pause, plus a book recommendation that fits this journey: Saint Teresa of Avila’s Interior Castle, translated by Peter Northcutt. God Can Sanctify Any Tool When We Stay Open

Fellowship is easy when everyone agrees. Konania is what happens when we walk toward the same light while carrying different burdens, different stories, and different questions and still choose to love. We open with a guided contemplation that anchors us in Scripture, breathing, and presence, then we sit with a line that reframes community: “If we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another” (1 John 1:7). Not if we think alike. Not if we have it all together. From there, we ask what we’re sensing is happening in the PQ Christian Community, and the answers are both practical and deeply spiritual. We talk about Positive Intelligence (PQ) and Christian mental fitness as a pathway into the inner room of God’s presence (Matt 6:6), where the pause helps us quiet the Judge and hear the Holy Spirit. We also share a snapshot of unexpected growth across the globe: from 43 to 83 countries and territories, reaching 671 cities with no advertising. The stories that follow include vulnerability, coaching, marriage, centering prayer, and people feeling truly held in community even through a screen. We connect Acts 2:42 and Ephesians 4:16 to the way Agape builds the body of Christ, then close with Howard Thurman’s reminder that spiritual disciplines do not create God’s presence; they ready us to recognize it. If you’re hungry for deeper Christian community, clearer spiritual practices, and a grounded way to integrate PQ with prayer and Scripture, press play. Root Cause Healing With Faith And PQ

You can love Jesus, know the scripture, and still feel trapped in patterns you cannot break. That tension is exactly where this conversation goes. We sit down with Shonna Vaughan, a board-certified health and wellness coach and clinical herbalist, to talk about why “take your thoughts captive” can feel so hard in real life, especially when anxiety, hypervigilance, and future-tripping kick in. We start with prayer and a surprising question: What if success is real, but we miss it because it does not arrive in the gift wrap we expected? From there, we dig into the hidden resistance that shows up when someone wants to change but cannot. Shonna explains how Positive Intelligence (PQ) gives clear language for the unseen obstacle, the saboteurs, and the inner Judge that sabotage progress even when the plan is good and motivation is strong. We connect that to root cause healing, not symptom management, and explain why chronic stress must be addressed if we want lasting change. We also explore what it looks like to pursue health and restoration as whole people, body, emotions, and spirit, because nothing happens in isolation. We close with the heart of it: self-compassion as self-care, living from belovedness, and learning to pause and ask Jesus for perspective instead of labeling circumstances as good or bad. If you have ever “given it to God” and then taken it right back, this will feel uncomfortably familiar and deeply hopeful. Subscribe, share this with a friend who feels stuck, and leave a review with one takeaway you want to practice this week. From Positive Intelligence To Presence With God

That moment when you’ve been faithful with PQ reps, you’ve built real awareness, and yet you can’t shake the feeling that there is still more; matters tremendously. In the last episode, we sat with the question: What if mental fitness was never the goal? In this episode, we sit with the question that stopped our group in its tracks: How do you invite God into your PQ sessions? Not as an add-on, not as religious wallpaper, but as an actual consent to God’s presence and action within. If you’re a Christian coach, a client, or simply someone using Positive Intelligence who feels a deeper pull, this conversation provides you with the language and next steps. We walk through a five-stage progression we’ve seen again and again as believers integrate PQ and Christianity. We talk about PQ as a mirror, the point where God sets a “door” in front of you, and how transformation moves from inward awareness to outward love. We connect the saboteurs to patterns you can spot in Scripture, revisit Mary and Martha as a picture of being and doing together, and name the Fruit of the Spirit as evidence that God is at work beyond technique. Then we get very practical: we share a one-line prayer you can use before a session, a meeting, or in the middle of a hard day: “I consent to your presence and action within.” We also introduce centering prayer as a contemplative practice that pairs naturally with PQ, including choosing a sacred word, gently returning when thoughts arise, and learning the sacred pause as a shift from attention to intention. If your desire for “more” keeps growing, you’re not broken; you might be receiving an invitation. Here is the link to the episode on centering prayer. Subscribe for more faith-forward tools, share this with a friend who’s doing PQ, and leave a review if it helps. What’s the “more” you’ve been sensing lately? What If Mental Fitness Was Never The Goal

The loudest pressure in your life might not be a sign to push harder. It might be a sign to return to the inner room. We begin with a guided contemplation on Matthew 11:28 and Matthew 6:6, in which Jesus invites the weary to come as they are and to rest in God’s already-present love. The question that hangs in the air is practical and personal: what would it look like to stop visiting that inner room and start living from it? From there, we wrestle with a theme many coaches, leaders, and busy believers feel right now: Positive Intelligence (PQ) can be helpful for mental fitness, but what if it is also an invitation into deeper communion with God? We talk about saboteurs as the noisy thought patterns that derail wholeness, and how PQ reps can create a pause between trigger and response. For us, that pause is not an empty space. It becomes a place to sense God, hear the still small voice, and choose presence over performance. We also explore “sacred convergence” as neuroscience, psychology, and theology begin to use overlapping universal language to describe and confirm what Scripture has taught for centuries. We share a coaching lens that prioritizes healing and belovedness before conversion, and we unpack a powerful image from the miracle at Cana: six empty jars, filled to the brim, then poured out as the “best for last.” The closing challenge is clear: make time to enter the inner room, practice abiding presence, and let God fill what you keep trying to power through. If this resonates, subscribe, share this with a coach or friend who feels worn down, and leave a review telling us where you most need to live from the inner room. What If Being Still Is The Bravest Choice

Striving can look like faithfulness on the outside while it quietly drains you on the inside. We sit with a sharper question: are we living by willpower and control, or are we being invited into willingness and surrender with God? We open with grace guidelines, prayer, and a guided contemplation that leads us into the “inner room,” that secret place where Psalm 91 becomes personal. As the group shares what they notice, the theme gets practical fast: the Judge shows up, comparison creeps in at work, and even good intentions can turn into pressure when we try to force outcomes. We talk about how Jesus moves through life without grasping or hurrying, and what that reveals about our own nervous system, attention, and spiritual formation. Then we draw a clear line between willfulness (willpower) and willingness, using real stories from caregiving stress and seasons of grief where sorrow and joy coexist. We connect Positive Intelligence (PQ) saboteurs like Hyper -Achiever, Controller, Stickler, Pleaser, and Avoider to the old patterns of our nature and the flesh, and we explore language that creates freedom: “It’s the saboteur” instead of “It’s me.” That shift makes room to invite the Holy Spirit into coaching sessions, relationships, emails, and hard conversations, and it brings us back to identity: You are the Beloved, not the verdict. If you want a Christian take on PQ reps, surrender, and emotional resilience that still feels grounded in Scripture, press play. A Guided Walk With Jesus On The Road To Emmaus

You can be faithful and still be frantically rushed. We know that feeling, and it’s exactly why we slow the whole room down with a guided Christian meditation on the Road to Emmaus (Luke 24). We start with the body because hurry lives there first: feet grounded, breath steady, tension released. Then we walk the road in our imagination and let Jesus ask the question that cuts through noise: “What are you discussing?” No fixing. No striving. Just his calm presence beside us. From the road we move to the table, to bread broken, and to that quiet moment when “their eyes were opened.” We talk about what gets revealed when we stop pushing and striving for outcomes and instead practice presence. Several members of the community share what we notice in real time: a sense of peace, warmth, clarity, and sometimes a simple, subtle shift that still changes everything. If you’ve been craving spiritual formation that feels both biblical and honest about modern pressure, this is for you. We also get practical about “being and doing” and how the saboteurs (Hyper -Achiever, Controller, Stickler) turn life with God into performance. We connect identity to Scripture, returning to the core truth that we are the beloved, and we explore Positive Intelligence PQ reps as tiny pauses that help rewire autopilot and create space to listen. We close with one-word takeaways and a question you can carry into your week: Where might Christ be walking with you right now? Walking with Christ on the Road Contemplation

You can walk for miles with a heavy heart and still miss the fact that you’re accompanied. We guide a short, quiet contemplation rooted in Luke 24 and the Road to Emmaus, slowing everything down until your body settles and your attention returns. From there, we step onto the Emmaus Road in imagination and notice what we’re carrying right now: disappointments, hopes, fears, and the inner conversations that never quite stop. Then Jesus draws near without correcting or rushing, and he asks the question that cuts through noise: “What are you discussing as you walk along?” We sit with that prompt long enough to answer honestly, without filtering, and to experience prayer as being listened to rather than evaluated. The scene shifts to the table where bread is taken, blessed, broken, and shared. We watch for what opens inside us not through striving, but through presence: warmth, clarity, peace, or even a small quiet shift that signals we’re not alone. When you finish, you’ll leave with one practical question to carry into your day: Where might Christ already be walking with you, and what have you not recognized? If this contemplation helped you, subscribe, share it with a friend who needs steadiness, and leave a review so more listeners can find it. Good Friday Reminder: Living Loved

Good Friday has a way of cutting through the noise, and that’s exactly what this message is meant to do. After sitting with it for weeks, we finally release what’s been on our hearts for our PQ for Christians community: you are God’s Beloved, and your identity is not something you earn through performance, productivity, or pain. We want these words to go in deep and reshape how you see yourself when you’re tired, afraid, striving, or stuck. We read Paul’s prayer from Ephesians 1, tracing the gospel’s language of blessing, adoption, redemption, forgiveness, and lavish grace. Then we pray what Paul prayed: that God would give you wisdom and revelation, that the eyes of your heart would be enlightened, and that you would know hope, inheritance, and the power available to those who believe. If you’ve been craving a clearer, steadier Christian identity and a more grounded inner life, this is a place to breathe and remember what’s true. From there, we share our Belovedness Manifesto, a practical declaration for Christian coaching, leadership, and spiritual formation. We talk about presence and sacred community, blessing others as we’ve been blessed, becoming bearers of belovedness, and learning to hold the thin line tension between the already and the becoming. We close by anchoring everything in the unchanging love of God, the love that casts out fear. If this strengthens you, subscribe, share it with someone who needs to hear it, and leave a review with the line that hit you most. Living Loved: Inviting God into Accept or Convert

In our March PQ for Christians gathering, we continued the conversation that began in February around the Positive Intelligence (PQ) tool of Accept or Convert. But this time we asked a deeper and more sacred question: How do we invite God into the Accept or Convert process? What began as a coaching conversation quickly became a spiritual encounter. Together, we explored how prayer, pause, and discernment open the door for the Holy Spirit to guide our decisions, release offenses, and transform our responses to life’s challenges. Drawing from the biblical example of David inquiring of the Lord and Christ’s prayer of surrender in the Garden of Gethsemane, the community reflected on how true acceptance and conversion are not merely mental strategies, but acts of trust rooted in God’s presence and love. Participants shared personal stories of navigating uncertainty, learning to distinguish between saboteur-driven reactions and Spirit-led guidance, and discovering the peace that comes when our decisions align with God’s will. Through Scripture, prayer, and contemplative reflection—including a river meditation, the group practiced releasing burdens and allowing God’s presence to carry what we cannot. In this powerful conversation, we explored: How to invite God into the Accept or Convert process The difference between saboteur reactions and Holy Spirit discernment Why pausing in prayer creates space for clarity and peace How Christ’s example of kenosis (self-emptying) models surrender and trust The role of community, prayer, and contemplative practice in spiritual growth This episode is an invitation to slow down, listen deeply, and allow God to guide the moments where we must choose whether to accept what is or convert toward something new. Living Loved: Accept, Convert, and the Journey of Trust

In our February PQ for Christians gathering, we continued moving deeper into our 2026 theme, Living Loved, by exploring the spiritual rhythm of Accept or Convert through the lens of faith, Positive Intelligence (PQ), and the ancient spiritual practice of watchfulness (Nepsis). Together, we reflected on a simple but transformative question: What might God be inviting us to accept or convert? This conversation became a sacred space for honest reflection on personal growth, identity, courage, and surrender. Participants shared stories of stepping into new seasons, learning to accept life transitions, setting healthy boundaries, and trusting God more deeply in both their personal lives and professional callings. From navigating fear about sharing faith publicly to embracing change as part of divine timing, the discussion revealed how belovedness becomes real when we stop striving and begin trusting. We also explored how PQ serves as a tool for spiritual formation—helping us notice the movements within our hearts so we can respond from belovedness rather than fear. The group reflected on the shift from fighting saboteur patterns to gently releasing their power by remembering who we are in God. The invitation to “convert” was reframed not as pressure to change, but as a call to return to God’s presence—becoming open vessels ready to be filled with peace, clarity, and purpose. As our community continues to move through the sacred rhythm of What Is, What If, The Thin Line Tension, Accept or Convert, this conversation offers a gentle reminder: transformation begins not with striving, but with noticing—and allowing love to lead. Rooted in Scripture, contemplative reflection, and community wisdom, this episode provides insights and wisdom to Live Loved. Claiming Belovedness: Rest, Presence, and the Gift of Love

As we enter 2026, our host, Donald E Coleman, and the PQ for Christians community gathered to reflect on what it means to live from our Belovedness rather than striving to earn our worth. In this first group meeting of 2026, we explored the thin line tension between our desires and destinations, and began orienting ourselves around the sacred rhythm of divine love, rest, and intentional presence. In a powerful contemplative session, community member Jackie led us in a mindfulness practice using touch and visualization—inviting us to imagine our lives as land, nourished by God’s life-giving water. This practice became a gateway to healing, clarity, and a deeper understanding of the love we are called to receive and extend in 2026. Through shared stories, we wrestled with common saboteurs like the Hyper-Achiever and Controller, and reflected on how Positive Intelligence (PQ) helps us shift from performance-based living to resting in our true identity. From reflections on job transitions to spiritual awakening, from saboteur awareness to surrender, this episode explores: How divine love is a gift—not a reward Why rest is essential to transformation and presence How PQ and contemplative practices help us meet unmet needs with compassion What it means to live in Kairos time, not Chronos time How the Live Loved Sandbox initiative (launching in February) creates a safe space for small group reflection, prayer, and presence This conversation sets the tone for the year ahead, calling us to live loved and to cultivate spiritual resilience in a world that prizes performance over presence. The Thin Line Tension and the Gift of Incarnation: A Sacred Exchange of Gifts and Growth

In this powerful December gathering of the PQ for Christians Global Community, we continued our spiritual journey through the Thin Line Tension of What Is and What If, now reframed through the divine mystery of the Gift of Incarnation. As the Advent season invited us into deeper reflection, our members shared the life-giving gifts they received in 2025—personally, in their coaching practices, and within their relationships. But this was no ordinary discussion. Guided by Ecclesiastes 3:1-8, 10-11, and grounded in sacred silence, each participant not only named their gift but blessed another member with it—forming a beautiful chain of holy exchange that reflected the spirit of Christ’s incarnation: love made visible, hope embodied, and transformation offered. From stories of chronic pain becoming a sacred purpose, to breakthroughs in coaching relationships, from career transitions to divine timing, from discovering one’s voice to embodying hope in job loss—this episode captures the essence of spiritual transformation through the lens of mental fitness, community, and Christ-centered love. This conversation includes: 🦋 Living the Butterfly Metaphor – the cocoon of transformation between What Is and What If 🌱 Coaching as Soil for Deep Roots and Breakthroughs 💔 Letting Go and Listening to God's Timing 💬 Finding One’s Voice, and the Courage to Speak It 🙌 Hope as a Guiding Gift in Transitions and Trials 🎁 A Community of Blessing and Belovedness We concluded with a profound reminder from Jeremiah 29 and the introduction of the Isaac Principle: that the gifts and promises we receive must be offered back to God in love and trust, so that they may be multiplied through us. This sacred episode is a call to recognize your own gift, bless others with it, and embrace the transformational power of God’s presence in your What Is—even as you hold space for the divine possibilities of What If. Exploring the Thin Line Tension

In this month’s PQ for Christians group gathering, we entered sacred space together to explore the “Thin Line Tension” between What Is and What If—a transformative zone where the known meets the possible, and where God often does His deepest work. Guided by stories, reflections, and spiritual insights, we saw how this tension is not something to be avoided but embraced as a portal for divine transformation. Through the rich metaphor of the butterfly’s metamorphosis, Alexa invited us to reflect on our own cocoon moments—those sacred seasons of spiritual discomfort where our True Self is being revealed. Members shared candidly about how PQ (Positive Intelligence) is more than mental fitness; it's a mirror that reveals hidden patterns and opens us to God's grace at work within us. We saw how the Holy Spirit uses real-life relationships, spiritual seasons, and saboteurs to guide us from striving into surrender. Together, we asked: How might God be inviting you into the Thin Line Tension: Between What Is and What If? This powerful question formed the foundation of our reflection, reminding us that this liminal space is not a detour—it’s the very path of transformation. Tune in to discover how the cocoon becomes a sanctuary of becoming, how gratitude can rise even in hardship, and how spiritual identity forms in the silent tension between today’s reality and tomorrow’s renewal. 👉 Listen now and share with others who are navigating their own journey in the thin line tension Send us a message If you are a PQ Coach and a member of the community, please take a moment to complete the survey. What is? What if? Exploring Unmet Needs with Awe, Curiosity, and Courage

In this transformative community gathering of PQ for Christians, we step into sacred reflection with the question: What if our saboteurs are not just obstacles… but invitations? Titled “What Is? What If? Exploring Unmet Needs with Awe, Curiosity, and Courage”, this episode invites listeners to explore the deeper intersections between Positive Intelligence (PQ) and Christian spiritual formation. Together, we examine how saboteur patterns—such as fear, performance, and self-doubt—may reveal sacred unmet needs like belonging, safety, or esteem. You’ll hear powerful testimonies of faith in crisis, insights into how unmet needs shape our inner lives, and a fresh lens on how spiritual wholeness comes not from striving, but from pausing. Through scripture, breathwork, and open dialogue, we hold space for God to meet us in our most human moments.
