1. They have a speed and confidence problem.
2. They just can't access it quickly enough when they need it.
✅解决方案:The 10-Second Speaking Drill.
1. Don't write a script. Just start speaking.
2. You are training your brain to respond directly in English.
3. The goal is not perfect English but faster English.
1. You may simply not have enough experience with informal workplace communication.
2. Nobody teaches us how to have a two-minute conversation next to the coffee machine.
Answer + Add + Ask
1. Answer — answer the question.
Add — give one more detail.
Ask — continue the conversation by asking a question.
2. It's simply about keeping the conversation going.
3. Curiosity makes others feel valued, seen, and part of the group.
1. You totally freeze and can't come up with a proper answer.
2. This happens because writing and speaking are two different skills.
3. But speaking happens in real time.
✅解决方案:Speak before you write.
1. Talk through your slides out loud in English.
2. Record yourself. Don't worry about making mistakes. Then listen back and reflect on what you could improve.
3. Those are exactly the areas you need to work on.
4. I would suggest accumulating English expressions that build logical coherence.
-"cause and effect": therefore, consequently, as a result, due to, because of
- "contrast":however, nevertheless, on the other hand, despite
- "order of importance": first of all, first and foremost, subsequently
5. You need to turn passive vocabulary into active language.
1. Now English isn't just affecting how you communicate at work.
2. It's affecting which opportunities you choose to go after.
1. So instead of asking, “Is my English good enough?”, ask: “What exactly is my English gap?”
2. You don't need to become fluent in every situation overnight.
3. You need to become confident in the situations that actually matter to your career.
