Danielle Klaudt on CARRIE, Mike Flanagan & Bringing Joanie to Life | Interview
I had the pleasure of chatting with Danielle Klaudt about her role as Joanie in CARRIE! 🩸 We talked about her journey bringing Joanie to life, sharing scenes with Samantha Sloyan, reuniting with Mike Flanagan for this new adaptation of Stephen King’s iconic story, and much more. Danielle Klaudt is a Canadian-American actress and award-winning professional theatre performer with over a decade of experience in the industry. No stranger to Stephen King’s universe, Klaudt made her film debut in Zak Hilditch’s 1922. Since then, she has appeared in projects such as Riverdale (2022) and Seagrass (2023). She later entered Mike Flanagan’s television universe in Episode 6 of The Fall of the House of Usher, where she first shared the screen with Samantha Sloyan in one of the series’ most intense scenes. Danielle’s career is only getting started, and her portrayal of Joanie, Margaret White’s manager and rival in Carrie, showcases her versatility, energetic presence, and charming personality. With this latest role, Klaudt continues to establish herself as a performer to watch, bringing her own spark to Mike Flanagan’s reimagining of Stephen King’s most successful novel.
