P/P/P...Oct 6, 2026...Interview w/Jeff Spies, Exec. Prod. of New Documentary "Solar Roots: Pioneers of PV"

Welcome to People, Planet, Progress, broadcasting the first and third Tuesday of every month at 6:30pm, following Alan Stahler’s “Soundings,” only here on KVMR. Today we bring to you the first of two interviews with Jeff Spies, executive producer of the documentary film “Solar Roots: The Pioneers of PV,” which will be given it’s world debut right here in Grass Valley later this month. In today’s interview, Jeff and I talk about his background and what led him to create the Solar Roots project, as well as the meat and potatoes of what went into making the film, and the details around the grand premier showing and the industry veterans’ weekend event scheduled for the end of the month. In our next show, the third Tuesday of the month, we will have a free for all interview featuring Jeff as well as some of the local characters and solar pioneers starring in the film, so be sure to tune in for that.
