This isn’t an Instruction Manual. It’s a Warning. How Empires Fall.
Collapse is self-inflicted: Benjamin Franklin knew the pattern all through history. In 1773, he wrote a masterpiece of biting satire – 20 rules for how a great empire destroys itself from within by making its own people see it as detestable. It was supposed to be a warning, but London completely ignored it and paid the price. Once you hear his “rules,” judge for yourself. Is this just another history lesson? “For transporting us beyond seas, to be tried for pretended offences.” From the Declaration of Independence, one of the charges against the King that justified secession. It was built on a violent American raid on the British few of us are ever taught about. In the early hours of June 10, 1772, a band of Rhode Islanders rowed out in the dark, shot and seriously wounded a Royal Navy commander, captured the crew and burned his ship to the waterline.
