I got through my divorce crying and deadlifting at the same time. Alicia Reitz got through hers on a jiu-jitsu mat: five feet tall, 105 pounds, rolling with men twice her size. Neither of us was chasing a smaller body. We were chasing proof that we could do hard things. Because if you can pull 200 pounds off the floor, you can walk into that meeting. Start over. If you’ve ever doubted you could handle what’s in front of you, you’re going to want to listen to this. ---------- Alicia is a Hon.B.Kin, B.Ed, adjunct professor of health studies uwo Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Brown belt.
