TONIGHT PROVES TONY KHAN DIDN'T HAVE A PLAN | AEW Dynamite Review (7/15/26)

Tony Khan MESSED UP. BAD. His master plan, was to take the AEW Championship from MJF, put it on Kenny Omega to give us a Redemption PPV Main Event with...KEVIN KNIGHT!? The hot topic in AEW is why put the belt on Kenny Omega? Tony Khan HAD to have a great idea if he was going to take the4 belt off his biggest star, right? Nope. In typical Tony Khan fashion, he lets us down once again, and now we are left with an AEW Redemption PPV that honestly we do not need. Kenny Omega Is the AEW Champion, Cody Rhodes Needs to Turn Heel, and WWE Is Failing Gunther, Bron Breakker and SummerSlam | Two Count July 14th

Kenny Omega is the NEW AEW Champion and both JD from New York and Jonathan Coachman have a lot to say about it. On this week's Two Count, the guys break down ten topics across the biggest week in pro wrestling, starting with AEW Dynamite Beach Break pulling its highest rating in over two years with MJF and Kenny Omega in the main event, and why Tony Khan finally got something right by treating Dynamite like a mini pay-per-view. From there the conversation gets heated. The Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins contract signing on Raw fell completely flat and Roman made Seth look like an idiot on the microphone. CM Punk wins the WWE title on Raw in Chicago and his first interaction with Cody Rhodes on SmackDown was the most low-effort, lazy way to set up a SummerSlam main event. JD argues the match was made out of necessity because ticket sales are struggling, not because Triple H had a plan. The brand split needs to end immediately. Bron Breakker is being buried in the Vision while Oba Femi gets all the momentum, and WWE cannot push two young guys at the same time to save their lives. Baron Corbin is back and JD thinks the timing is perfect for a pure old-school heel in 2026. And Gunther went from retiring John Cena to being an afterthought on SmackDown filling in for Drew McIntyre, and nobody can explain why. The kickout topic: Bully Ray says Cody Rhodes turning heel would be more impactful than John Cena's 2025 turn. JD agrees, and explains exactly why CM Punk is the perfect babyface to turn Cody against. Ten topics. Two and a half minutes each. This is The Two Count with JD from New York and Jonathan Coachman. 📍Support The Channel: ♦Join the "Off The Script" VIP Club: 👉https://www.youtube.com/c/JDfromNY206/join ♦Get Your JDfromNY Merch: 👉https://jdfromny-shop.fourthwall.com/ ♦Follow on Twitter/X: 👉https://twitter.com/jdfromny206 ♦Follow on Instagram: 👉https://www.instagram.com/jdfromny206 ♦Follow on Tik Tok: 👉http://www.tiktok.com/@jdfromny ♦Follow on Twitch: 👉http://www.twitch.com/jdfromnewyork ♦Request A Cameo: 👉http://www.cameo.com/jdfromny 🤝Sponsors: ♦ Blue Chew (Use Code "JD"): https://go.bluechew.com ♦ Turtle Beach (Code "SCRIPT"): http://www.turtlebeach.com/script ♦ Mars Men (REFERENCE JDFROMNY) http://wwwmengotomars.com Advertising Inquiries: https://redcircle.com/brands Privacy & Opt-Out: https://redcircle.com/privacy

SummerSlam IS STRUGGLING, MJF Convinced Tony Khan To Change AEW Title Plans? | TNT #155

WWE is doing everything they can to make SummerSlam better than WrestleMania as SummerSlam is STILL struggling to sell tickets, and WWE is freaking out internally. With CM Punk and Cody Rhodes slotted for the Main Event, and Oba Femi stepping into Hell In A Cell with Brock Lesnar, SummerSlam is WELL below company expectations but why? Is it a destination issue? Is it a match card issue? Are high ticket prices to blame? Are fans finally speaking with their wallets, and are tired of bad television? Or is all of this completely overblown? Tonight, we take a look into the reasons, go over why WWE rushed to get CM Punk and Cody Rhodes in the Main Event, and why Triple H could be blamed for all of this when all is said and done. AEW crowned Kenny Omega the NEW AEW World Champion, and it caused quite a bit of division online, with some loving the decision to move onto Will Ospreay vs Kenny Omega, while other believe MJF should have walked into AEW ALL IN as the World Champion. Why did Tony Khan do MJF vs Kenny Omega on AEW Dynamite, and NOT at AEW Redemption? What does Tony Khan have planned for the Redemption Main Event, and will it measure up against a big decision to pull the trigger on MJF vs Omega early? Will MJF find his way back into the Main Event of ALL IN? Also, Rhea Ripley updates everyone on her injury, and it's not looking good. Chad Gable is going to SummerSlam and Triple should have a walk in the park booking the Intercontinental Championship. WWE unveiled Club WWE, and it's a typical WWE money grab as usual. CM Punk & Cody Rhodes have a disappointing first face to face on SmackDown. And, Jalen Brunson confirmed for Saturday Nights Main Event.
