Getting Chatty about… Earle Meets World, Disneyland, and Polymarket
We are back and catching up on everything since we last cheers’d! Danielle’s packed itinerary included hitting the trail for a hike, heading to the drive-ins, playing the game of Jumanji while watching Jumanji, and taking a field trip to an A’s game where Forest and Wyatt became guest P.A.'s... core memories for sure! Meanwhile, Dami enjoyed a magical Disneyland trip filled with so many amazing moments and a Monster Jam pit party. Of course, we couldn't ignore the unhinged political circus, diving right into the latest Trump News regarding his wild AI posts, including his baffling claim that he was a 9/11 firefighter and also talked about the crazy federal court ruling that we don't have the right to clean water or information about our water supply... guys, how are things this corrupt?! We also break down the mistrial in the Clancy case, dive into the whole Polymarket and Not Skinny But Not Fat drama over seemingly less than genuine statement two days later (and the broader, gross trend of betting on awful murder trials). We discuss Harry and Meghan moving back to London alongside King Charles’ statement making it clear they are still not working royals and cannot use their titles. We giggle at South Park renaming their show to South America, and react to the Anthropic AI researcher resigning to warn the public while everyone continues using AI to see what they'd look like in the 80s (and ignore how much water AI uses). Our watchlists have been totally stacked lately! Danielle picked back up with her Vampire Diaries rewatch on HBO (wait, ELENA DIES?!?) after watching Sinners on HBO (WOW!). She also watched Earle Meets World on Netflix, Coyote vs. Acme at the drive-ins (so much nostaglia), rewatched A Teacher on Hulu, Over the Garden Wall on Disney+ (an absolute first-time watch shocker!), cheered on the 49ers while watching them beat the Rams (bang bang niner gang!), and somehow ventured into the discussion of the AMAZING (according to Danielle) 2006's Stay Alive.
