    The Green Party’s plan to restore city centre vibrancy

    The Green Party is pledging to restore city centre vibrancy, by letting councils run rental auctions for spaces that have been empty for longer than 12 months. The party is targeting what are known as "ratchet clauses", which prevent the rent going below what a tenant already pays when the rent comes up for review. Green Party co-leader Chlöe Swarbrick spoke to Guyon Espiner.

    Tama Potaka discusses new retirement village law change

    The Government is overhauling retirement village rules to ensure residents and families get their money back faster when a unit is vacated. Currently those repayments are taking nine months to two years, with one case of a resident waiting three and a half years for payment. Associate Housing Minister Tama Potaka spoke to Tuwhenuaroa Natanahira.
