From French Foreign Legion Paratrooper Commando to the Firing Range
At 19, Bam Bam began his journey at Mexico’s Heroic Military College, seeking a life of adventure. That drive eventually took him to Canada, Europe, and ultimately, into the ranks of the French Foreign Legion. During his 9 years of service as a Sergeant in the 2nd Foreign Parachute Regiment (2e REP), he began his career in the 2nd Company, which specializes in mountain warfare. Later, he became the first and, to date, only Mexican to join the elite Parachute Commando Group (GCP) of the Foreign Legion. He was deployed to the war in Mali, first as airborne shock troops and later as an assault operator within the GCP in the Sahel. His service included participating in the liberation of Timbuktu following a combat jump (static line), the Battle of Tifarit (Ametettaï), as well as multiple commando-type missions and a high-altitude combat jump (HALO/HAHO). He completed his final contract with 4 combat citations (honorable mentions). Today, back in Mexico, he pursues his true passion: combat shooting. On this channel, he shares his real-world experience as a firearms instructor, along with weapon analysis, combat psychology, and survival in hostile environments.
