    ASK UNCUT - A Matty J special

Happy Friday Lifers! This episode is a day behind because we recorded an entire episode without realising a microphone wasn’t plugged in. Yep, it finally happened. But to be fair it took 18 months and over 100 episodes before it happened so really we think we’ve done pretty darn well! Anyhow it’s here now so get it in your ears. We have special guest host Matty J recoding with Britt today answering all your deep and burning questions because, well, Laura basically has an arm hanging out of her and the birth of her next child is imminent so we’ve cut her some slack and put her on bed rest and we hope you can cut her some slack too! Besides, you get Matty! On the menu today; What do guys really mean when they say “It’s not you it’s just timing. The timing is wrong” do they really mean that or is that a lame ask excuse and a load of bulls*it? I’m 25 weeks pregnant and my boyfriend is not feeling comfortable being romantic with me in the bedroom. Aka, he doesn’t want any sexy time. This is making me feel pretty bad about myself. Should I let it and should I be worried? Is it just me? Or is this a normal thing for men to feel? Why do so many guys not reply on dating apps!? Why do they leave you on matched or just not respond when you write to them!? It’s really starting to get to me. My partner and I have been together for 6 years, we still love each other and we want to stay together but the spark is just gone. How do we bring it back and get some spice back into life? Matt- Why do some males just pound you during sex - literally pound town from start to end. Curious, does that actually feel good for you guys? We hope you love having Matty J on as much as we love having him visit! (From the lounge room to the studio haha ) Keep the questions coming in guys! Slide on in to our Instagram DM’s @lifeuncutpodcast and title the message “ask uncut” If you loved the ep please hit subscribe, leave a review and share the love, because, well, we love love x See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

IVF, COMING OUT & BODY POSITIVITY - Uncut with Fiona Falkiner & Hayley Willis.

Happy Tuesday Lifers! We’ve done some big episodes of late regarding egg freezing, fertility and IVF, so we decided it was the perfect time to get someone in that can talk about it first hand. So this week we are chatting to Fiona Falkiner and her fiancé Hayley Willis! Australia first fell in love with Fiona when she graced our screens many moons ago as a contestant on the biggest loser. She then went in to host the show and to forge a very successful career as a model both locally and internationally. Fiona is now in her third trimester after undergoing IVF (but not before they had a few attempts at home on their own ;) ) Hayley is a very well respected sports journalist working in a male dominated industry. We chat all things life before they met, career highlights and lowlights, how body image has changed in the industry, the moment Fiona realised she in fact was more interested in women than men, navigating coming out to their friends, family and Australia, dating in the public eye and of course their fertility journey. Therapy Thursday is here with Ask Uncut! We love giving you guys our unqualified but passionate yet questionable advice! We randomly had so many wedding questions this week ! "Halppppppppppp I hate my brothers girlfriend. She is mean and rude and he deserves better. Can I and should I tell him what I really think? Or just sit back and watch him burn" "Do I have to go to my friends hens party and wedding? I don't really want to but how can I say no!? Also she didn't even invite my boyfriend!?" What do you guys think about inviting your friends partners to weddings? Yay nor Nay? Find out what we think on todays episode. Inside sex cult NXIVM - UNCUT WITH India Oxenberg

This podcast episode discusses sexual assault, coercive control and living in a cult, This may be triggering to victim survivors. If you need help or someone to talk to, you can call 1800 RESPECT or visit respect.gov.au. “My name is India Oxenberg. I was in a cult for seven years. I didn't want to be saved," This is the harrowing opening line to Stan's four-part docuseries that explores the NXIVM cult. The cult started as a US-based self-improvement group, led by Keith Raniere, but in the end the group was exposed for the dark and disturbing cult that it was. For 20 years from 1998 and 2018, Raniere recruited thousands of people under the guise of personal development seminars and self improvement sessions even luring in several celebrities and socialites with the most prolific being Smallville star Allison Mack. Over a long period of time, NXIVM faced a multitude of accusations of systemic sexual abuse of female members by Raniere and members of his inner circle. India was a part of this cult, without knowledge that it was a cult, for 7 years. The last two of which she was a part of a secret sub group within the cult called DOS, which is a Latin phrase that translates to "Master over Slave Women," It was at this point India was expected to engage in sex acts with Keith Raniere, to act as a slave to Smallville star Allison Mack and to be a master to her own two slaves. It was also here that she was held down naked and branded with Keiths initials on her stomach without anaesthetic and while being filmed. We are so grateful to have India join us today to personally tell us her story. How she got involved with the group, what life was life inside, the perpetual yet slow grooming, the coercive control, the manipulation and brain washing, the things she was made to do, the collateral she was forced to put down to ensure her silence. She speaks candidly about when things turned sexual, her inhumane branding and eventually how she found her way out and her life after the cult. You can follow India @indiaoxenberg Follow us @lifeuncutpodcast @brittany_hockley @ladyandacat If you're one of our scallywags that loves the podcast but hasn't left 5 stars or a review yet, well, we wont hold it against you but also, like, why you do us dirty. CHEERS TO THE FUTURE - UNCUT with David the medium

Lifers! We are back! It is our first episode back for the year and we wanted to kick it off with something fun, different and a little weird! So we decided to chat with a very highly recommended psychic medium - aptly named David the Medium - and see what the future holds for us and well, basically if Brittany will ever find love. Lolz. As a medium David connects with people that have passed over to the other side, meaning he can deliver messages and communicate on our behalf with those that have passed. You’ll have to tune in to see if we had any luck connecting with and loved ones. He also predicts the sex of Laura’s baby and well, we can’t wait to see how that one plays out!! This chat is full of tears, laughter, predictions and inappropriate jokes, all in all it was an eye opening experience so strap on in. SO I DATED A SOCIOPATH - Walk down memory lane 2 - episode 3

Wandering down Memory lane day 2! Today on "Britt and Laura are taking a mini Christmas break but didn't want to leave you hanging so rehashed some of our older and favourite episodes" we are rolling alllll the way back to Season 1, episode 3. Back when we were brand new little podcast virgins and still working out what buttons did what, but we were determined to share stories and content that would in some way help and change peoples life, even if it was just one person. As this was one of the more popular episodes and was aired so long ago we thought it was time to re share it with all our new listeners! This episode is called "So I dated a sociopath" and it's an episode we often refer back to in our current episodes as it had such a huge impact on Britts life. It also had such an amazing response at the time from listeners saying it helped them through their own tough and toxic times and made them realise that; A) They are not alone and there is nothing to be embarrassed or ashamed of and B) That this is no way is a reflection on them and there is light at the end of the tunnel, It shaped Britt into who she is today and knowing it is shedding light on situations that aren't often spoken about makes sharing it all the more important. See you soon you big bunch of legends! That's a wrap! See ya later 2020 you steaming pile of.....

Guyssss it’s our last episode of the year!! And what a crazy year it has been! Ok so what’s on the menu today. We certainly cover some ground! We take a look back on the year that was, reflect on our last years resolutions - did we achieve them? How do we feel about them? Of course we have accidentally unfiltered for you, but first we dissect a fb discussion question on whether it’s ok to ignore men who approach you to chat, or is that just plain rude. Do we owe them anything? Should we be polite if we feel uncomfortable? Do you owe it to a man to be nice? Britt has a very out of character run in with a man on her first and last night out for the year because #2020 is finishing the year a sly dog. We recognise that being alone at this time of year can be hard, but we want you to know you are never completely alone. There is always someone to talk to and someone that cares.. even if you jump on our fb group to join the chats with some likeminded and beautiful humans! We thought what better way to wrap up the last episode than with an Ask uncut regarding a girl who embarrasses herself at her work Christmas party. Fitting. We can’t THANKK YOU enough for all of you love and support this year. We ADORE each and every one of you. We read all your emails and messages and we are So grateful for the amazing community that has been created. We couldn’t and wouldn’t be able to do this without you. You’ve all supported and helped us so much and we can only hope you have felt supported and loved too. If it weren’t for you guys we never would have won the Listeners Choice at the Australian podcast awards, an award we are so chuffed with. We can’t wait for a bigger and better 2021. Until then, join the fun and join some healthy and usually hilarious conversation on the fb discussion group - Life Uncut Podcast. Have a safe and healthy Christmas and New Years and let’s roll in to the new year with good energy, great intentions and filled with love and optimism. Please, if you’ve gotten this far and you haven’t hit 5 stars or left a review yet, well you sly dog what are you waiting for. Please, share the love, because, well, we love love x See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

When their sex noises make you cringe - ASK UNCUT

Happy Tuesday lifers! We are doing another switcheroo this week and bringing you Ask uncut today, but we have good reason! You’ll have to listen to find out though. Some things just can’t be avoided! We have a great one for you with some very relatable questions and some good solid lols. But before we get into that, some jerk had the nerve to put a girls face through a “how pretty are you?” app before deciding if her would date her... then proceeded to give her her feedback before they had even met and WTF JERRY THERES A REASON YOU’RE SINGLE JERK OFF. As you can tell, we are not ok with this. Okies, into the episode; Firstly, what do you do if you can’t stand the noises your partner makes when he’s having sex!? Can you tell him? Do you just put up with it and hope for the best? What if your partner never told you he loved you. But showed you in other ways. Is that enough? This one related back to the good old love languages and we both have different ideas on it. Lastly, but definitely not least, we have one listener who’s bf keeps getting sent nudes in a group chat and she ain’t ok with it. How do you navigate that one!? We will be back with our big juicey episode on Thursday guys! MY EX TRIED TO KILL ME - Talking coercive control with Dr Angela Jay

Lifers, today we have one of the most serious and most harrowing episodes we have ever done, but it is something we feel is so important to speak about. One in four will experience violence at the hands of an intimate partner and the most dangerous place for a women is in the house. This statistic unfortunately rang true for Dr Angela Jay when she was attacked in her own home by an ex partner. It was 2016 when Angela decided to download tinder and start dating again after ending things with her husband. That is where she met a funny, intelligent, tall dark and handsome man by the name of Paul Lambert. Things started off well, but went downhill rapidly, so Angela ended things. It wasn't long before he would try and kill her. Angela bravely talks us through what happened to her and discusses the signs she missed, life after the attack and where you can go for help if you are experiencing any form of domestic violence or if you need to exit a toxic relationship. If you haven't already join us on insta and our facebook discussion group @lifeuncutdiscussion Please, hit 5 stars, leave a review and share the love, because, well, we love love x If this conversation brings up any issues for you, or if you just feel like you need to speak to someone, please call 1800 RESPECT (1800 737 732). TOXIC POSITIVITY - Take your good vibes and shove it

Hey Lifers! Yes it's Thursday but we are delivering you our big, juicy, meaty Tuesday episode today! (blame this weeks episode switcheroo on the fact we thought Laura was going in to labour - valid excuse 😂) but boy do we have a positively good one for you! After Laura's pregnancy scare we talk a bit about... well..... pregnancy and touch on the really wonderful news Dan Andrews recently shared around miscarriage and the solace this change in legislation will bring to grieving women and families. Britt is sharing her egg freezing journey with us all, then it's time for some accidentally unfiltered stories. On the menu today - TOXIC POSITIVITY! What is that you say? Well we are glad you asked! The phrase “toxic positivity” refers to the concept that keeping positive, happy and upbeat are the only feeling you should have and is the right way to live your life. It means only focusing on positive things and rejecting anything that may trigger negative emotions. We are currently seeing this everywhere in life. Sounds great right!? The fact is, when you deny or avoid unpleasant and negative emotions, you actually make them bigger . We unpack that and more so strap in folks. Find us on Facebook at Life Uncut Podcast and on Instagram @Lifeuncutpodcast If you loved todays episode please hit 5 stars, leave a review and share the love, because, well, we love love. And also that is what helps us grow so please and thank you we love you. x See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

SWITCHEROONIE! Thursday Therapy on a Tuesday - FEATURING MATTY J

Therapy Thursday is here!! Even though it’s only Tuesday! We very occasionally mix up our weeks programming when life throws us a curve ball annnnnd that’s exactly what happened. Laura’s needed a bit of R & R with this pregnancy, so Britt searched high and low for a special replacement but time was of the essence... sooooo we got Matt. Lolz. Naaa we love having Matt on to give his very wise male perspective on things! This week Britt and Matt chat about picking up in a bar, that is, how to do it and how to give the impression you’re open to it. One poor lass has already been through hell when her fiancé cheated and left her for her cousin (jerk) but now she’s expected to go to their wedding... sorry WHAT!? Talking about your exes on a first date. Is the first date etiquette!? Should it be avoided? Should you be offended if they choose not to talk about it? Christmas is just around the corner and we should be excited to be with loved ones! Unless of course your partner hasn’t invited you... is this as bad as it sounds or can couples do their own thing over the holidays? If you loved the episode please hit 5 starts, leave a review if you’re feeling extra generous and share the love, because, well, we love love x See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

ASK UNCUT - IT'S THERAPY THURSDAY!

It's that time of the week guys! Where you hit us with your deepest and most troubling problems and we give you our deepest and sometimes troubling answers. JOKES our answers are always very heartfelt, considered and come from a place of love and experience. Today we have an international student whose boyfriend just pulled the pin on their partnership visa, meaning she wouldn't easily be able to stay, but he still wants to be with her. Is this cool? Should she stay? Should she give up? Should she go and marry someone else for a visa!? (Of course not don't be silly that is very illegal) Then a relatively simple yet wildly common question, "How soon is too soon to move on? Should you get under someone to get over someone?" (if the man in question has a last name Hemsworth than yes, the answer is always yes, get under) Then we have a woman that found something in her husband's email that you never want to see. When and how can she confront him, especially when she was searching through his email to start with! We absolutely LOVE ask uncut so please keep your questions rolling in! (literally any topic is welcome) And if you love the episode please share the love, because, well, we love love x See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
