    Ep. 19: Leroi Callwell Johnson

    Leroi is a Buffalo born lawyer, artist, and manager of Buffalo's most famous musician, Rick James. Leroi and Rick are brothers and he shares a few stories for our listeners about growing up with the mega star. But ultimately this is Leroi's stage and he can rock the mic. We called Leroi's office and he agreed over the phone to meet with us. We were shocked, excited and nervous.. We didn't think it was going to be that easy. But when we met we soon realized he is the professional and we had to keep up. We had a great time. We learned a lot about their connection to the city and how Leroi has been a part of Willie Hutch Jones Educational and Sports Programs for over 35 years. He mentioned his gripe about the Freedom Wall and how the only monument to his brother is in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
