Let's Talk About Disordered Eating with Meghan Gray

When does a healthy relationship with food start to become something else? This week we're having a really important conversation about food, body image and the things we can sometimes normalise without realising they're becoming unhealthy. We're joined by clinical psychologist Meghan Gray from Gray Mind Psychology to unpack the difference between disordered eating patterns and a clinical eating disorder, and some of the signs that your relationship with food might be taking up more space than it should. We talk about food noise, restriction, binge eating, control, body checking, calorie counting, exercise, perfectionism and why so many behaviours that can be signs of disordered eating are considered completely normal in our culture. We also get into the psychology behind why these behaviours can become so difficult to let go of, how control and uncertainty can play a role, and what recovery can actually look like. It's a really honest conversation about something that affects so many women, and one we hope makes you feel a little more comfortable talking about food, your body and how you're really feeling.
