More than 1 million tickets already claimed for Salt Lake Temple open house
In less than 24 hours since they became available, tickets for the Salt Lake Temple open house have surpassed one million! The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints announced this massive development just this morning. A lot of people have taken to social media to say they couldn't get tickets, but don't worry; the Church says additional tickets will be released in batches. So stay tuned and stay in line!

Shocker: Majority of Americans say corruption is widespread in government
Gallup polling just put out a new report this morning with this title: "Record-high 89% in U.S. say government corruption widespread." Nearly 90% -- spread across all political ideologies -- think that corruption is at the highest it's ever been! Is anyone truly surprised? Greg and Holly say their biggest shock was how it went from less than 60% in 2006 to roughly 30% higher in only 20 years.

Congress discusses ways to address and change birthright citizenship
Congress may pick up where the Supreme Court left off with birthright citizenship. The high court gave a kind of mixed bag on the issue in the spring, but upheld the fact that the President could not redefine a constitutional amendment with an executive order. But with the House back in session right now, they're looking into ways to restrict birthright citizenship. In a hearing on Capitol Hill, the House Oversight Committee is looking at so-called birth tourism.

Ask the Attorney: Lori Vallow Daybell heading back to court for appeal
Remember Lori Vallow Daybell? Her murder case was all the news in 2024, and she was convicted of killing her two children, JJ Vallow and Tylee Ryan. She was also found guilty of conspiring to murder her husband's first wife. Well now, the Idaho Supreme Court has set a date for her appeal: November 2nd. There have been a lot of questions about this impending appeal, so KSL Legal Analyst Greg Skordas breaks down the appeal and the process for our listeners.

Teaching kids Olympic and Paralympic values in the lead-up to the 2034 Winter Games
Kids around Utah will get the chance to learn more about the Olympics and the values behind them thanks to a new program as part of Utah 2034. This morning, a kind of opening ceremony for the program kicked off at Backman Elementary School in Salt Lake City. Several more opening ceremonies will take place at schools all over Utah over the next few weeks. Humanitarian organization working to help those affected by deadly flooding in Nepal and Tibet
The videos of the flooding in Nepal were terrifying to see at the time. And now the pictures coming out of the damaged and destroyed areas are equally heartbreaking. Rescue efforts are underway in the region, but they're being hamstrung by muddy conditions. More than 1,000 people are confirmed deceased in Nepal and Tibet, and thousands more are missing. People really seem to like their stance, and it shows -- app downloads for MapQuest have spiked over the last few days, with downloads seeing a 128% day-over-day increase since the President's announcement.
