On October 23, 1981, 17-year-old Kurt Sova disappeared after attending a Halloween party in Newburgh Heights, Ohio. Five days later, his body was discovered in a nearby ravine.
Kurt had no obvious fatal injuries, and the medical examiner couldn't establish exactly what killed him. His missing days, a missing shoe, conflicting accounts, and serious questions about the original investigation would haunt his family for decades.
Despite renewed investigative efforts, the circumstances surrounding Kurt's death remain unresolved.
Kurt was more than an unsolved mystery. He was a 17-year-old boy who deserved to come home.
