Grace Ryan

Sixteen-year-old Grace Ryan became trapped in a devastating struggle with alcohol abuse in the months before her death. As her addiction became increasingly severe, so did the questions surrounding her mother's role in enabling it and why Grace wasn't getting the help she needed. After Grace was found unresponsive in her family's Arvada, Colorado home, an investigation uncovered a disturbing story that ultimately led to her mother, Gretchen Ryan, being charged with second-degree murder. This week, we're taking a deep dive into Grace's story, the affidavit, and the events leading up to her death.
