Grace Andrews - Are Content creators truly valued ?

RADIO WOKING SUNDAY 4TH OCT YouTube creators contributed £2.8 billion to the UK economy in 2025 and supported more than 60,000 full-time equivalent jobs – but almost half of the digital talent responsible for this growth say they still feel unrecognised by the wider creative sector. It’s undeniably big business – 75% of media companies with a channel say it helps them reach new audiences across the world - so why do the creators making this content still feel undervalued? In a first of its kind, UK Creator Voices is launching a groundbreaking independent collective to bring the creator community together with Britain’s creative industries. I spoke more about this with content creator Grace Andrews.
