TSB has an intermediate podcast dealing with PHP2Shell
Hello gang, welcome to the security box, program 280 Intermediate E. On this program, we're covering something called PHP2Shell two vulnerabilities that were disclosed the same day. Not only that, we have a third vuln which is mentioned, as part of something we played last week but part of the article I read. I discuss the difference between RCE (vulnerability exploition) RCE (code you run yourself) and we make sure that we tell you that we do not know whether any of these have been exploited and taken care of. Welcome to the security box, podcast 280. We're going to need to do this in multiple parts, so podcast 280 will be here for quite awhile with the intermediates a through whatever to finish the series. On this podcast, the Evolution of Cyber Security, part 3: Organized cybercrime and social engineering, part 3. Part 3 will cover Conficker which was 2008-2009 as well as the first payment card breach that was for its era. That breach was known as the Heartland breach. We also had a meeting with Regional Center, and I hopefully educated them on the aforementioned breach we covered in July, as well as the reprocussions. The person I met with is still relatively new, but the fact they could not answer questions that clients may have is not necessarily good,, especially because of the challenges the clients have which is why they need their services anyway. This is an extensive discussion which Preston partook in after the initial taping. The whole series will take you from late 2000 through 2013. We hope you enjoy the program!

We are not reading and discussing any particular article, we're painting a picture of what seems to be the overall problem and how Canvas is now joining the party of very large breaches. TSB 271A: ADT getting hacked, again. Third time in two years
Welcome everyone to a special edition of the Security Box. I'm Jared and this is podcast 271A. We are doing this podcast because of a breaking news item that may affect each and every one of you who have an alarm system. This goes beyond ADT, who is the main company discussed within this piece. But Kim Komando is going so far as to recommend that the Home Security industry as a whole is being targeted and recommends everyone change their passwords and codes on their keypad. This is regardless of the company used mentioned within the article and newsletter. ADT, Simply Safe and Ring are all mentioned within Kim's piece. While the JRN has not read full length articles, the podcast is structured around the breaking alert newsletter that Kim sent out on April 27, 2026. Did you know that this is ADT's third breach in 2 years? The podcast lists the other two months and years, including two in the same year but several months apart. Here's what is being covered from around the web. This is not going to be everything, but just what we were able to find. Other podcasts may also be covering this including The Cyberwire, so just be aware of it. ADT hacked.
