🌸 Beginner Japanese Lesson 24-3 | ~
How do you say “I do something for someone” or ask someone to do something for you in Japanese?
In this lesson, you'll learn two useful patterns:
Use 「~てあげます」 when you do something for someone.
➡️ I carried my friend’s things for them.
➡️ I helped my younger brother with his homework.
➡️ I took my friend to the station.
💡 「~てあげます」 is usually used for friends, family, and people close to you. We generally avoid using it for teachers, bosses, or other people of higher status.
And you’ll also learn:
Use 「~てくれませんか」 to ask someone to do something for you.
➡️ Could you help me?
➡️ Could you read this kanji for me?
