Motherhood and Mental Health with Katie Veit, LCSW
*Please excuse the sound of dogs whining for a few minutes in the middle of this episode... we recorded this episode at my parents' house and their dogs have severe separation anxiety from my mom and were freaking out for a few minutes! :( For the last episode of this first season of It's All Good, I wanted to talk about a topic that is very dear to my heart: moms' mental health. I've been open about the fact that I've struggled with my mental health on and off for many years, and my dear friend Katie Veit has played a huge and helpful role in my mental health journey, so I thought she'd be the perfect person to talk to! She has spent years counseling women and moms and working in the mental health field and has also raised 4 children, and she has so much wisdom on everything from pregnancy and postpartum to the teenage years. I absolutely loved this conversation and thought it was the perfect way to close out the season! I will be taking a break from the podcast now for a few months while I get settled at my new job teaching preschool! I'll only be teaching 2 days a week and writing songs/creating content the rest of the days, so fear not, I'll still be around. Just taking a step back from the podcast for now and will pick it back up hopefully some time this winter - stay tuned for updates and THANK YOU for such a fun run during our first season! It has been such a pleasure!
