161: She Taught Colon Health, Then Faced Her Own Diagnosis, Colorectal Cancer | Sue Becker
Sue Becker, a food scientist and the founder of Bread Beckers, started milling her own grain in 1991 and soon began teaching others to do the same. She tells Jim Mann how white flour changed the American diet and why she believes freshly milled grain made such a difference for her family. Then, in November 2006, Sue was diagnosed with colorectal cancer after a tumor had ruptured her colon. A group of Brazilian pastors offered to pray for her, and one shared what he felt the Lord had shown him about anger and unforgiveness. It led Sue to face the bitterness she had carried for eight years after a painful church conflict. She also shares how she prayed through each medical decision, including building her strength before chemotherapy and radiation, and her surgery in May 2007. Twenty years after her diagnosis, Sue describes herself as cancer-free and shares why she believes healing must include both body and spirit.
