Bob, Cup Heartbreak and a Proper Tatering.

It was an emotional day as we recorded this episode, following the funeral of our much-loved club photographer, Bob Sandiford. Bob was given a fitting send-off and Jez talks us through the day, sharing some memories of a true Lowerhouse legend. We've also put together a playlist of Bob's videos, all 31 of them, which are mentioned during the episode. They're a wonderful reminder of the moments he captured over the years. 🎥 Bob's videos: https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLRNpbsdqpGYw&si=iCK8C9fopGzYt-HI On the cricket side, we have a proper catch-up after a disastrous weekend that saw disappointments in the T20, the Worsley Cup and the league. Thankfully, things quickly turned around and we look back at the superb win away at Enfield before celebrating another excellent victory at home against Clitheroe. And yes... you've been asking for it... GUESS THE WINNER IS BACK! Listen to see who WAN... As always, thanks for listening. If you're enjoying Housecast, don't forget to subscribe, leave a review and share it with your fellow House fans.

It's not 69 is it? (ft Will Norcross)

This week we welcome Second Teamer Will Norcross to talk through the recent results for the Second Team. Joe and Jez talk through the home win for the Firsts against Norden and we officially release our new iPhone and iPad app. Oh, and its Guess the Winner time again, you can guess how that went!

What went on at Walsden (ft Keagan de Vries and Henri Cottam)

This week we're joined by Keagan de Vries and Henri Cottam to relive the tremendous win at Walsden. Keagan also reflects on his record-breaking innings, becoming the highest-scoring number eight batter in Lowerhouse history. We're aware of some audio issues during this episode – Jez's signal wasn't at its best and he occasionally sounds more robot than human. We've tried our best, so you'll just have to like it or lump it! Gary is also with us, while Joe Martin joins later in the show after completing his babysitting duties. #UTH 💛💙

Joe Martin - This is your life! (ft. Chippy)

This week we're joined by Chippy as we take a trip down memory lane and delve into the career – and almost a "This Is Your Life" – of the one and only Joseph Martin. With Joe training the juniors whilst were recording, Jez, Joe B and Gary squeeze into the Umpires Room to chat through his cricketing journey, memorable moments, and plenty of stories from over the years, and Joe M joins us later on. We also look back at last week's results and discuss all the latest happenings around Lowerhouse. #UTH 💛💙

    Shaukat, Atkinson and Stokes

This week on the Housecast Podcast, Chris Bleazard steps into the guest host chair as Jez is tackling the NC500 on his bike (really?) and Joe Beneduce is on holiday for a change. We take an in-depth look back at Lowerhouse’s last two matches, discussing the key moments, performances and talking points from both games. We also delve into the archives for a flashback to one of Gary’s remarkable bowling spells. But did he really bowl 17.4 overs on the trot? Tune in to find out. #UTH 💛💙

Beneduce, the Cat and the Pigeon (ft Dave "Pinky" Krupinski)

This week on the Housecast Podcast, we’re joined by Fourth Eleven captain, coach, and all-round good egg Dave Krupinski. We chat through his early playing days, look back on some classic fixtures, and dive into how he’s progressed into coaching while leading the Fourth Eleven. We also talk through all the latest senior team results from across the club. There’s also a light-hearted (and slightly concerning) report of alleged bullying involving the Rugrats. Elsewhere, we unpack a bizarre incident involving Joe Beneduce, a cat, and a pigeon… which is exactly as chaotic as it sounds. And of course, it wouldn’t be Housecast without a game of Guess the Winner — this week’s edition is as unhinged as ever.

Blez, Burnley & Guess the Winner Chaos (ft. Chris Bleazard & Paddy Martin)

The Housecast Podcast is back — and back in person from the Executive Suite… or whatever it’s officially called (we debate that too). Joining us this week are Chris Bleazard and Paddy Martin as we look back on recent results, including the outstanding win over rivals Burnley. We chat to Blez about reaching the incredible milestone of 17,000 Lancashire League runs and what the achievement means to him and the club. There’s also discussion around communication with the curator and his team, plus the usual chaos as we attempt another round of Guess the Winner. A cracking episode with plenty of laughs, stories and Lowerhouse chat throughout. #UTH 💛💙

Second Album Syndrome? (ft. Ben Heap)

We’re loving these live podcasts at the moment. With Jez and Gary away on holiday, Housecast’s very own Ant and Dec — Joe and Joe — sit down in person with skipper Ben Heap to chat through pre-season prep and the opening two games of the campaign, including a lovely trip over to Crosby. There are listener questions for the skipper, plenty of insight from inside the dressing room, and we even get the lowdown on the new teas…

More Than a Chairman: The David Wren Story (ft. The Wren Family)

In this special episode of the Housecast Podcast, we remember the life and legacy of David Wren — a true Lowerhouse man whose impact on the club will never be forgotten. Joined by his wife Judith, and children Andrew and Laura, we reflect on the man behind the role. From his passion and determination to his vision for the future, this is a deeply personal insight into what made David so special — not just to Lowerhouse, but to his family and everyone who knew him. We talk about the challenges he helped the club overcome, the standards he set, and the foundations he built that continue to shape Lowerhouse today. Above all, this episode is about the person — his character, his values, and the legacy he leaves behind. A fitting tribute to someone who gave so much to the club he loved. #UTH 💛💙

The Winter & Stans Theory on the recipe to success (ft. Stan Heaton)

We catch up with Stan Heaton to discuss Lowerhouse’s winter preparations and how pre-season is shaping up. From behind-the-scenes volunteer efforts to the club’s overall vision, Stan gives a fascinating insight into what keeps Lowerhouse thriving. The boys quiz Stan on the Lowerhouse recipe for success and explore how the women’s and girls’ section is developing nicely. Plus, we play two rounds of “Guess the Winner”—more carnage than usual! It’s a ridiculous segment, but one we all love, bringing you the latest updates from the Lowerhouse Draw.

Guess the Winner: DIY Mayhem with Duce (ft. Paul Grace)

We’re back! It’s been a while, and it’s time to play Guess the Winner again. In this episode, we’re joined by Paul Grace, one of the latest additions to the Lowerhouse committee. Paul talks about why he joined the committee, how he found his way to Lowerhouse, and why the club is such a fantastic place for mental health. He also shares insights from the recent Mental Health course he’s been part of in conjunction with the club. And if that wasn’t enough, Joe Beneduce is attempting to fix his shed — what could possibly go wrong? Tune in for laughs, insight, and all the Lowerhouse chat you’ve been missing.

Day 7 of the 12 Days of Housecast: In 2004, we hadn't won a thing, since 1862. A team of 11 men changed that and forever changed the course of Lowerhouses' history. Here are the final 20 minutes of Radio Lancashires broadcast on that fateful day.

    Guess the Winner...ish!

Joe M and Jez finally get together to record the episode that never was. After a few false starts and missing moments, they hit record and dive straight in. There’s quite a bit of Guess the Winner in this one… predictions are made, confidence levels vary wildly, and accuracy is very much up for debate. Expect plenty of speculation, second-guessing, and the usual Housecast chaos along the way. One that proves some episodes are worth the wait…ish.
