The Unfiltered Truth About PA School (With Kasin Anton, PA-C)

Hi friends! Get your notebooks out, because this week we’re diving into the real, unfiltered experience of Physician Assistant (PA) school. This episode was recorded at the very start of my own PA school journey — a time when I was eager to absorb any and all advice from those who had already walked the path before me. I wanted to hear the good, the hard, and everything in between so I could step into this season prepared and grounded. In this conversation, Kasin, a current Physician Assistant (PA), and I talk honestly about what you can expect when entering PA school — the challenges, the growth, and the ways the experience shapes you both personally and professionally. While we don’t shy away from the difficult realities, this episode is ultimately about resilience, perspective, and how PA school strengthens you in ways you may not anticipate. Whether you’re considering PA school, currently in the thick of it, or simply curious about what the journey really looks like, this is a conversation you won’t want to miss. Kasin is a co-founder and leader of This Way to PA, a platform where pre-PA, current PA students, and new-grad PAs can get assistance as they navigate their way through the PA journey. Check out the links below to learn more about this business and how you or someone you know can get connected with professional guidance with all things PA! https://thiswaytopa.com/ https://thiswaytopa.com/about/

Unlocking Solitude: Alone Time as a Powerful Tool for Success

With analysis on why we fear being alone and what we can get out of facing those fears, studies have shown ample benefits of leaning into alone time. Instead of waiting for the wisdom of our elder years to land in our laps to help us realize being alone at times isn't all that bad, why don't we go after it now? In this episode I break down how we can embrace and unlock the goodness of solitude and thus find lasting purpose and meaning in life from spending time with ourselves and our own minds. When Fear Interferes; Why Doing Nothing Does Nothing

Life is messy. Without owning up to our avoidances and being true to ourselves in each moment and season of life, we tend to create even bigger messes. Today we are going to sit down and intentionally sift through the mess that is our lives. We'll boldly bring to the surface our strengths and the inspirations that can keep us moving forward as individuals in our callings and together in our purpose. Take it from me, it was a challenge to even string this episode together as I was simultaneously facing questions about how on earth I can use my gifts and strengths to reach my calling, rather than focusing on my weaknesses. By strategically connecting the dots often clouded by fear and anxiety, we can all take something away from this episode that can help us realign with who/what we are called to be/do and how.

Nothing Really Matters; The Effects of Stress & Balance in Our lives

What do you consider "good" or "healthy" for you? Would your neighbor completely agree? (probably not!) In this episode, I explore the power of uniqueness as it helps us unveil our customized balance in life. I untangle some knots and reach engaging realizations about what is important in life, and what is not. We tend to impose harsh expectations on ourselves or receive those which society has of us, and when it leads to failure or confusion, we then tend to develop frustration and disappointment; in ourselves or others. I have been on my own roller coaster to finding balance and, at this point in the ride, I seek to share some insights (and questions) in part based on lessons learned and reflections made. I hope that, from this episode, you would be reminded of your worth and of the things worthy of your time and energy. -K xx Ephesians 2:10
