As I clumsily sketched out the Ulyssian-esque chanting into my notebook, I knew in that moment why Luciano Berio’s album was going to keep me up until the break of dawn. Electronic Music III is forthright and dizzying. The greatest sound-poem ever recorded onto tape? A sound phenomena: the system of arbitrary symbols, through which we give a certain form to our own way of being in the world. Inexhaustible Hieroglyphs & Other Stories
Welcome to the first week of spring, fellow Venusian. Might a promising shadow reflect the fiery spores of our inner-most monologues? Fuchsia shaped syllables, Peruvian lilies, and a little Goethe calms those fertile floodplains. What about modern-day hieroglyphs, though? Which elements of our day-to-day evoke sacred etchings in stone, that perhaps project a glimpse into our past. Teaching us about who we were many moons ago...a reflection of our ancestors, or as the Egyptians referred to as "the god's words".
