The 1987 Max Headroom signal hijackings are famous unsolved television intrusions where masked perpetrators overrode Chicago's WGN-TV and WTTW broadcasts. This was part of a history of broadcast signal intrusions overriding radio, TV, or satellite frequencies. While other hijackers have been caught and prosecuted, the Max Headroom mystery remains unsolved.
